I know this sounds ridiculous but imo MidoTaka is really underrated. At least during recent years. "Underrated" here doesn't mean they don't have many shippers. What I mean here is that they aren't appreciated enough in the way they deserve, since among those who are still in the fandom now, there are so few people who truly understand the point of their relationship and I've even seen more than few trying so hard to deny it. Not to mention MidoTaka always becoming the scapegoat whenever some certain other ships feel intimidated. That being said, I don't care whether this ship is underrated or not since I just wanna do what I want for pure fun and I'm fully aware that I gain nothing from changing people's opinions. MidoTaka shippers are still the most beautiful people in this fandom now because they continue to have fun and dedicate to what they love despite that amount of slander they've gone through.

nobody can joke that midorima bullied takao into driving him around in the rickshaw bc 1) MIDORIMA CANT BULLY ANYONE HES A WHOLE NERD!! and tbh midorima is the person who doesn’t even think of bullying someone into doing what he wants because he doesn’t even realize it’s an option. i seriously can’t imagine midorima trying to bully someone he’d be so bad and awkward at it lmao. and 2) TAKAO BULLIED BY MIDORIMA???? TAKAO?????? ok first takao does put up with a lot of midorima’s shit but he asked for it when he became friends with him so if anything takao is being willingly bullied and second takao is whipped for midorima so he doesn’t even see pulling him around in the rickshaw as a punishment

in conclusion: midorima can’t bully takao if takao’s into it.

I just wonder how meeting Takao must have felt for Midorima, like yeah the gom were all friends or at least felt obligated to be friends towards the end but I don’t think Midorima ever really had a friend that was, you know, his. Then he meets this boy who won’t leave him alone, who keeps talking to him, trying to grab his attention, only to find out that not only did Midorima beat him during Teiko but that boy doesn’t really care to be angry about it anymore and actually wants to work with him and get to know him and just talk to him and make jokes with him and ask for his opinions and listen to what he has to say and yeah Takao laughs at his lucky items but Takao also laughs at everything so he doesn’t take it too seriously and eventually Midorima finds that he can’t seem to shake off Takao and maybe he doesn’t want shake off Takao anyway

Takao didn’t have to forgive Midorima, he’s not perfect and he’s also just a teenage boy! He could’ve let his anger and regret fester and act antagonistic towards Midorima and he still would have had a reason to. I just think it shows how much empathy and kindness Takao has that he chose not only to grow past his anger but actively befriend Midorima! Honestly... I can’t imagine how Midorima would’ve grown at Shuutoku without Takao by his side (if he’d have grown at all, even) and for that matter, what would’ve become of Takao? His main ambition would be to defeat someone on his own team....how lonely.
