Where do I even begin? Dublin, Round Dos was even better than the first time I went!! It was relatively sunny the entire weekend and I got to see some old friends. On the left is Shane, who I met down in South America during my first study abroad experience; on my right is Hannah, an amazing human that I met on a walking tour in Venice. Seeing both of them put a smile on my face for sure! Being able to visit them and grab a bite to eat was amazing. I'm so lucky to have met them and I'm so grateful that I was able to study abroad and see them again!!

Yesterday, another one of my friends turned 21 (: we celebrated in a very low-key manner, because we've all been extremely tired and busy and it just made sense at the time (: with all that said, she is my absolute favorite person, so shoutout to Aspen 💓 Happy birthday girl! Happy you got to celebrate it in Greece with all of us

My birthday gift from my grandparents was a free trip to Italy!! Turning 21 and being gifted such a big gift was amazing and I definitely tried to take advantage of this incredible opportunity! (: I started off in Milan then took the train into Venice where I hit all the dead ends (leading to the water). Afterwards, I headed on down to Rome where the eternal city never sleeps! Visiting the Trevi Fountain at night was the highlight of my trip ((: I also threw a coin over my shoulder so hopefully I'm back!! I've heard the Colosseum is amazing as well!! Can't wait to be back and witness that (: thank you to my family, especially my grandparents for making my 21st birthday amazing and for the amazing opportunity to make my traveling dreams come true 💓

After hearing so much about Dublin and Guinness, I decided to go check it out for myself! This weekend was filled with potatoes and more potatoes and even more Guinness!! Sadly, I didn't see any leprechauns, but I saw a rainbow, so I'll take that as a win. More pictures of Dublin to come (because I'm going back in two weeks)

Vienna was a much needed weekend. To see leaves that actually change color and fall made me realize just how much I missed autumn. The Sachertorte was amazing and I'm so happy I was able to celebrate my birthday month with something so delicious!! Definitely worth asking for milk with it because it is a little much. Thank you Vienna for showing me how pretty life can be!!

Once every month, the Acropolis has a “free” day, where you can just walk into the Acropolis and visit the Parthenon. The Sunday I came back from Bucharest happened to be that day! I would also like to add that I’ve been in Greece for a month a half now and I still haven’t visited the Acropolis. After hearing about how it was free, my friend and I knew that there wasn’t an excuse - we had to go. I’m so happy we did. It was beautiful and we were there during the golden hour, hence the good lighting. We finished the day off with dinner at Plaka, a district near the Acropolis.

Solo Traveling - Pros and Cons

I’ve been so lucky to have been given opportunities to travel. I love visiting and immersing myself in new cultures. It’s always so eye-opening and humbling. With that said, however, solo traveling as a female can sometimes be a little uncomfortable. I had that “uncomfortable” experience happen during my last night in Bucharest. My friends and I had rented a car to drive into the countryside city of Brasov, which is relatively close to Bran’s Castle (Dracula’s Castle). My flight, however, was early Sunday morning, whereas, my friends’ were Monday morning, so they were planning on staying in Brasov. I found a train to take my back to Bucharest and was dropped off at the train station by my friends. There, I was first approached by a man who told me I was very beautiful; however, he continued to stick around and hang around me which made me feel a little weird. I didn’t worry too much because my train was approaching soon. I left and then saw him head to the ticket office. He ended up buying the same train ticket and we both ended up in Bucharest. Luckily, I booked an Uber and had a friend on the phone with me the entire time, but for about two hours, it was a little scary.
