@cecilos-week Day 7, Marriage / Proposal

Hugh: Now, I am not a poetic man, Cecil, but I was inspired. Have you noticed that love seems to be in the air right now? Like that Mariah Carey song: “I had a vision of love and it was this crazy dream where I was in a park, and trees were made entirely out of recycled aluminum cans, and you were there but you looked just like me, only with a nose bleed.”

Cecil: Oh, I love that song! My husband and I danced to that at our wedding!

so i took another day off yesterday, but i’m back for the last prompt. i couldn’t NOT do something sweet from their wedding day. mainly, i wanted to do them sharing their first dance! :’) 💖

@cecilos-week Day 5, Free Day

“Yeah,” said Carlos, still flapping his hands and letting his eyes drift by accident, trying to find a conversation topic, “um, um, I really like your shirt. That’s a Chinese giant salamander.”

“Yeah,” Cecil looked down at his shirt, beaming, “I thought it looked cute. I mean, look at it. It’s carrying a laser pointer and a mace.”

i took day 4 off (i needed a mental health day), but for day 5 i wanted to do some art for a really great friend, @hushpupper ! i decided to draw her lads, based upon a scene from one of her (many!) great fics: Sawdust and Cheese Pretzels. we like to think of pre-OYL interactions a lot, and this fic is just very adorable (as well as her headcanon designs for ‘em)!

Cecil: “In the arms of the one I love…” Carlos: “More than any other…” Cecil: “We were home the entire time.” Carlos: “A home that has no walls, or roof…” Cecil: “A home that is not a place…” Carlos: “Not a place, but a person.” Cecil:  “And so, no matter how far we ever go…” Carlos: “as long as we go there together…” Cecil: “we will still be home.”

this is another that fits into both categories. whenever i think of cecil and carlos talking about home, i always think to the episode “Holiday”, in which they’re away on a vacation, but realise that they felt like they never even left, because they feel at home with each other :’)

also, wanted an excuse to redraw old art. woof! what a difference.

it’s always nice to go back and look at one of the most beautiful, nostalgic scenes in the series ❤️

Day 21 of Inktober: Drain

carlos noticing night vale experiencing a lack of gravity and using it to get some chores done is just such a fantastic wee character moment and i love it!

every june i miss the opportunity to draw some pride fanart so this year i finally made it!

cecil already shouts on the daily how much he loves his husband, but he’s damned if he’s going to not use the whole month as an excuse to do so!

still having computer issues, and still i am out of practice drawing with pencil (and drawing in general), and i know these aren’t the actual placements of the characters’ stations in the novel, but i just wanted to sketch something of nilanjana, louisa and mark from It Devours!

my computer has been acting up lately, which is sad but it gives me an excuse to finally make myself start sketching in my new sketchbook. it’s been a long time since i last drew traditionally in pencil. there are some mistakes but overall i enjoyed the process. want to just get back to enjoying drawing for the sake of it.

so here’s a happy scientist with beautiful hair!

still havin a bit of an artistic identity crisis in that i can’t decide what i want my style to be but either way, i was doodling and i just liked how this came out !

@symphos1 i had to do this request! it was so much fun to draw tamika again, it’s been a while! 

i love this badass bookworm and symphony is great, you guys should draw some cool tamika art for her too!!! :D

How long have you listened to welcome to Nightvale?

since the summer of 2013! been up to date with each episode for four years now!

decided that i wanted to change up the background on my personal blog. couldn’t decide between cats, or something night vale related, when i considered “both. both is good” and drew some floffy khoshekh kitty! ❤︎
