I was gonna get more pictures done this summer but between my dire need to enact my first “upgrade” to this costume (( custom 3-piece suit must happen )) and this emergency move that’s had me destabilized for quite a while…probably not happening. We’ll be well into autumn by the time I have *any* room for high-stakes costume shenanigans.

So I’m posting these two shots that turned out well, now.

I’d say I hate how effortlessly I wriggled into this sleazebag supreme persona…but I don’t.

I actually love it, LOL.

It was so easy, in fact, that this was the quickest and cleanest cosplay test shoot in my entire life. Pulled up, messed with the tripod, boom, done. No struggle with emoting at ALL.

So…this test went well! Ha ha.

He’s probably gonna join the main line-up at this point. I’m gonna pursue perfecting this.

Very sad revamping my Tenna is gonna take a lot more time, money, and energy, but at least I’ve got Spamton and Cesare to keep me company.

After 100 million years I FINALLY finished my Pokémon Trainer Cedric.

Now I just gotta draw my 15-year-old Umbreon next to splice in next to him.

Deltarune soon, sooo, have my new self-insert Darkner made explicitly to smooch the TV. I’ll admit it, it’s too exhausting to pretend otherwise, LOL. People should be allowed simple joys.

This dude is based on a gorgeous old stereo setup I scored this year. A quadruple threat - radio, records, cassettes and CDs. Sylus “Sy” Sharpe (( ha ha, C Sharp, geddit? )) is a stereo originally bought by Asgore and gifted to Asriel. Asriel had left it to rot as the years went by, because, well…the most he used it was with Dess. He couldn’t bear to throw it away, but wasn’t about to allow those memories to haunt him when he left town for university, either. A chance at a brand-new start would’ve been sabotaged by bringing it along. And so, after a while of the stereo seeing further disuse, Toriel decided to bring it back downstairs after YEARS in order to keep her company with the occasional tune while she worked around the house.

Sy coming back downstairs basically gave him a foot in the door to rekindle with his old flame, Tenna. Who wasn’t even sure if he was still alive after a serious technical misfiring (( due to some frustration being taken out on him )) occurred before his last move. It made more sense to take the repaired machine to its new home upstairs right away. That just meant Tenna never got any closure, whoopsie.

Sy *would’ve* been the Lord of his own Dark World upstairs…but in being moved into the living room, he essentially “abdicated” (( partially out of choice )) in order to assimilate with TV World.

fe3h was so lazy for making the bad guys ugly. barring the women, you can tell who’s evil just by looking at who’s chopped.

miklan, matthias, count varley, rufus, duke aegir, solon, etc. i’m forgetting more

then the other antagonists that aren’t chopped are the morally ambiguous ones you’re supposed to think critically about (rhea, house leaders)

Totally fair, honestly. Some of the characters listed I would argue aren’t “ugly” but that’s down to personal tastes, and I already know exactly what you mean so there’s no sense splitting hairs.

Not drawn like a hot anime protag? Definitely a villain.

It’s an age-old issue spanning the globe, and with FE’s huge habit of lifting from mythos that would encourage this, along other polarizing tropes in the franchise…I’m tempted to reach for that as a talking point, but like. Not really to validate it at all. The reasons it’s there are understandable but they’re still not…nice.

Reasons =/= excuses.

Fun fact: Miraig’s “lucid world” design uses Darcy’s preference for earth tones, while their “dreamspace” design references Ray’s love for jewel tones.

So have a very human redesign of Caine. I took many an artistic liberty here but I think he turned out pretty cool~

Oh! Ha ha….not intentionally, no, but I see where you’re coming from.

It’s a valid and appropriate interpretation in any case.

I made the choices around his facial hair based on the whole teeth thing. I wanted the beard // mustache combo to be able to communicate some loose ties to those pearly-whites. Mimic the jaws that way - that sort of facial hair tends to follow that general guideline anyway.

And then a lot of other decisions following were very loosely informed by the image of a more Steampunk-adjacent ringmaster.

She’s also known as “Aunt Korie” to her goddaughter, Noelle. Korinne and Carol were once much closer than they are nowadays.

…For reference, her human body consumes absinthe mixed with (( totally not Monster )) energy drink, while the droid body most certainly DOES consume battery acid.
