Most wedding episodes of television shows are overblown and lame, but fuck me (please?), Parks and Recreation did it really well. First off, zero episode build-up as it came out of nowhere. And secondly, it went against just about every wedding episode cliche which was refreshing to see.

I loved those vows too. I think I’ll use a combination of April and Andy’s when I- AHAHAHAHA, pardon me while I wipe the tears of hilarity away from my mouth so I don’t drown.

Never gonna happen unless Yulyia can wait for me.

Japan

I've been watching footage from Japan on a loop since I got home from work; it's harrowing viewing.

Besides donating to crisis appeals, I feel utterly helpless.  For now, I'm going to bed, just as Japan's "day after" is starting.  I know that the full impact of the destruction is yet to be discovered, but I think we can be confident that significant damage has been done, with considerable loss of life.  It's going to be hard to hear about tomorrow.

Despite this, I know that we will also hear stories of remarkable rescues and of people helping each other out despite the tragedy in their own lives.

I hope that those in areas with tsunami warnings are humble enough to move out of the way - if you're lucky enough to have had warning, even if it comes to nothing, it's not silly to protect yourselves.
