The way she ra ended, I'm still stunned by it. You watch the first episode of the show and you think there is something there between Catra and Adora. You keep on watching the show and you are convinced that they use to be in love. It was obvious that they are going to end up together but even so I wasn't confident.

To know that I wasn't reading too much into it, that it was intentional, it was hinted and foreshadowed, it was planned and was always going to end this way, it's something else. Adora and Catra getting together is the thing that saved the universe.

Catradora is the friends to enemies to lovers, slow burn, mutual pinning, childhood best friends, roommates, soulmate love story all wlw deserves.

It’s the years of longing. They both pined for so much time that they couldn’t quite believe the other was also in love with them.

Adora first turns into She-Ra again in 05x04 (“Stranded”), and what she says in that moment is interesting:

She’s talking about Bow and Glimmer, but this sentiment also applies to Catra! After all, Adora asks her friends to return to Horde Prime’s ship because she doesn’t want to leave Catra behind:

And of course, there’s the scene you mentioned, when Adora turns into She-Ra to save Catra from Horde Prime. She literally unlocks She-Ra with the power of love. This show, guys. Incredible.

i love that they made catra so adamant about adora not sacrificing herself and stressed how important it was to her that adora went after what SHE wanted. true love, bitch, that's true, healthy love. in these types of shows we're often given that usual self sacrificial trope. and adora has given up herself willingly without knowing what would become of herself before. but seeing her learn that its actually OKAY to want and to prioritize herself is so important to me. i like that they didn't just let her drive herself to ruins to save everyone else. because who the FUCK saves the hero? her motherfucking self bitch. as soon as she lets herself want as she is ALLOWED to. and i love that catra was the one to nudge her in that direction. it only shows how real her love is for adora. she wants her to want what's best for her. shoutout to mara as well who came to her in that illusion encouraging her to follow her heart.

She-Ra changed the way I will consume media forever, not specifically because of the story or because literally all of my ships became canon, but because it's a show so full of love.

It's a show that you can feel was made with an insane amount of passion, where the creators were not afraid to show how much they cared about it. The entire show is a love letter to the characters they created and to the fans who love them, it's a show that tells people who watch it that they deserve a story that will make them happy and that it's worth their time and passion.

This show is so fulfilling and validating and it showed fans that they can have stories which care about them, that they shouldn't just be happy with crumbs because creating well written, hopeful and satisfying content is possible. It just... feels so good.
