Wax Seal Charms
From simple love spells to glamours and hexes, wax seal charms are a powerful and versatile tool for any witch’s arsenal. Small, inconspicuous, and easy to hide, these simple charms are useful for nearly any type of magick.
First, you will need a smooth work surface (I used the bottom of a ceramic bowl). Fold a small envelope from a square of paper. You want the envelope to be the same size as or smaller than the wax seal to ensure complete wax coverage.
Next, write your intent (or draw a sigil) on the inside of the envelope. Keep it simple or write very small.
You can add a small pinch of herbs (or a taglock) if you like, but try not to use too much or the charm won’t flatten and may not seal correctly.
Once you’ve added your herbs, fold the envelope shut. You may need to squish it a little to keep it closed.
Pour your wax over the envelope, making sure to cover any open edges, and place your stamp in the molten wax. Apply light pressure for a few moments and then allow to cool.
Once completely cool, remove your stamp and peel the charm off your work surface.
And voila! A small, portable charm that can easily be slipped into a purse or wallet unnoticed.
A lovely way to use my wax seal!!
Herbal Remedies for Cold and Flu Season
1. DIY Elderberry Thyme syrup – elderberry has been used for centuries in healing because it provides immune support (and has long been thought to banish negative energy). Can be taken both preventatively and to shorten the course of a cold.
2. DIY Cough Drops – these cute cough drops are made with tea and honey to sooth an irritated throat. The original blogger chose hibiscus tea for the taste, but consider using one of the herbal teas she lists at the bottom for a more healing herbal remedy.
3. Lemon, Honey, and Ginger in a Jar – a traditional and internet favorite, this mixture turns into a jelly for when your throat needs serious soothing. Honey has been used for millennia to heal a variety ailments, just be sure to keep this away from infants.
4. 30 Herbs for Cold and Flu Season – for those that like to have options, here is a long list of healing herbs with suggestions on how to use them during cold and flu season.

SAMHAIN MASTERPOST
When is Samhain? October 31st to November 1st. It is the halfway point between the Autumn equinox and Winter solstice!
What is Samhain? A sabbat marking the end of the harvest and the beginning of the darker half of the year. It is also a time to pay respects to and remember the dead. It is also sometimes called the “Witches New Year.”
Activities to celebrate Samhain may include, but are certainly not limited to:
Taking a nature walk to enjoy the last bits of the harvest season before the cold sets in.
Decorating your home with seasonal decor and autumnal colors (foods of harvest like corn, acorns, pumpkins etc. make good decor)
Set up an altar to honor your ancestors
Prepare a nice dinner and set places for those who have passed
Tell stories about those who have passed with shared loved ones
Visit the cemetery for your own loved ones and for those who do not have anyone left who remember them
Hold a seance
Any type of divination/divinatory guidance
Join the community! No need to celebrate the entirety of the holiday with others as Samhain is probably the most private of all the Sabbats, but hosting or attending a ritual or feast can’t hurt anything.
Foods/Herbs/Spices associated with Samhain:
allspice berries
broom
catnip
mountain ash berries
mugwort
mullein
oak leaves
rosemary
sage
pine cones
straw
corn
turnips
apples
gourds
nuts
mulled Wines
beef
pork
poultry.
I hope you all have an amazing Samhain, and I also hope you are just as excited as I am for the new season!
magick spiced hot cocoa
during the colder months, a cup of hot cocoa can bring wonderful warmth and coziness. you can add a few spices to bring magick into the mug that inspires happiness, healing, and self-love. you will need:
☾ ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (self love and grounding)
☾ ½ cup granulated sugar (granting wishes)
☾ 1/3 cup hot water
☾ ¼ tsp salt
☾ 4 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
☾ 1 tsp vanilla extract (love, restoring lost energy)
☾ 1 tsp fresh orange zest (abundance and happiness)
☾ a pinch of ground nutmeg (attracting prosperity)
☾ a pinch of allspice (warmth and healing)
combine the cocoa, sugar, salt, nutmeg and allspice with the water in a pot over medium heat. stir constantly until the mixture boils; continue stirring constantly for 1 more minute.
stir in the milk and continue to heat the mixture, without letting it boil. remove from heat and add vanilla and orange zest. serve immediately.

Safety tips
Do not assume ghosts are human-sized.
Do not assume mermaids are not predators.
Do not assume monsters cannot go unseen because you lack the ability to see them.
Do not assume witches fail at magic when you do not see an immediate result.
