Been rewatching Avatar and still have so much love for these characters. I enjoy thinking of Iroh meeting Zuko’s dragon, sometime after The Search. It would be a nice way of bringing the symbolism of the dragons in their story come full circle.

Epilogue | The Antlers
when I try to move my arms sometimes they weigh too much to lift i think you buried me awake, my one and only parting gift
It’s been a long time since Cascade, Homestuck. But now that this is finally finished, it’s time to release the new Flare remix!
This song has almost every musical element of the original Flare sampled and used in a new way, along with lots of new additions and a gritty EDM style of production. I wrote the original song a long time ago, and since then I’ve grown dissatisfied with it in some ways. How better to improve on it than with a remix?
For track art I talked to my girlfriend Andarix, who has been doing crest design commission lately. She made one for me featuring the Green Sun and the chain of Derse for me, and I don’t think it could have turned out more awesomely!
I’m afraid you can’t buy or download this song yet, but it will definitely be available on the next official Homestuck album release.
And I want to give a special thanks to my patrons on Patreon. Without you guys, I would have never have had the resources to make this remix!
A new piano arrangement of Three in the Morning in a triple meter.
I wrote the original song that appeared in Homestuck a long time ago. It seemed like the right time to come back to this, just a few days from the anniversary of the old Midnight Crew intermission.
Listen all the way through. Context is important.
This is a Homestuck song I’ve been working on. It’s not totally finished, but this is a good demo version! Codenamed “Project Latitude” because the title would give away which character the song is for (you might be able to guess anyhow).
little clip of a beat I’ve been working on for a couple days
New original song! Cello recorded months ago, production all done just recently.
Western religious hymns tend to end with a plagal cadence, which is a IV chord resolved by a I; it has stately weight and finality to it, and it’s no coincidence that the two chords accompany the two syllables of the “amen” at the end of all those hymns. The cadence has always had an intoxicating sound to me, and I built this entire song around it. But instead of using it to end each progression with surety, it’s placed at the start of every cycle. Backwards and then forwards, and turned upside-down by way of chord inversion.
Howard Lovecraft so often implicitly asked us in his writing to consider carefully what the word “god” means to us.
30 Minutes Until the Flare // Homestuck vs. t.A.T.u
can we fly? do i stay? we could lose we could fail
[tindeck]
so uh these songs go pretty well together! i used my minimal audio editing skills to mash ‘em together and i sorta like the results. the lyrics fit pretty well in the context of Flare, too.
music for the end of the world
Can you please source the songs original incarnations, especially as something that isn’t just sourced as “Homestuck” but maybe perhaps the artist that composed it?
(Ps: The source of Flare is my boyfriend, Clark “Plazmataz” Powell. You should buy his music.)
My name is Clark Powell, and I write music for Homestuck. Flare is my personal work: I wrote it for the comic, along with dozens of other pieces of Homestuck music.
You didn’t make a mashup of t.A.T.u. and “Homestuck.” You made a mashup of t.A.T.u and ME and didn’t source it. And seeing as I make my entire living by marketing my personal brand online, this means that I have lost out on a potentially really important opportunity. I wasn’t contacted or informed about this at all; if you had gotten in touch with me, I would given you permission without hesitating!
“Homestuck” doesn’t make art and music, human beings do. If you care about the media and you want to encourage the people who make Homestuck possible to continue to do so, learn to give a little thought to the content creators.
At the very least, source the work. Giving credit for a song to “Homestuck” is like giving credit for a piece of visual art to “Google” just because that’s where you found it.
We as a fandom can do better than that.
Continual reblogs of this post will go a long way. This is an issue that affects hundreds of artists of all kinds throughout this fandom.

Nighttime reblog!! Also because I forgot to mention something important, which is that Dodostad drew the track art! Didn’t it turn out fabulously?
concept ep where a virtual dog idol uses vocal synthesizers in her pop music because she has no voice
~summer’s over but the bangers aren’t~
((https://clarkpowell.bandcamp.com/album/after-party-animal-ep))
The idea for this “virtual pop star” came from my personal aspiration to create true pop music– of course, this would be impossible for me through normal channels. I’m trans, and my singing voice is decimated.
Undeterred, I’ve been experimenting a lot with vocal synthesis the last couple years, using tools like Vocaloid and sample-editing. The result is After Party Animal, the virtual idol behind these songs.
You can hear and support her at clarkpowell.bandcamp.com <3
lyrics:
There in your eyes I see
What is there to do if you want me?
I see god, between
If you’ll take me back to your room, please.
Story of the Year I Sidewalks
the bridge is all crumbled, the water soaks into rocks that fell at the bottom of the road the town that we lived in, the memories shaken apart from the weeds that grow over the sidewalks, running away from the streets we knew, sidewalks, like the time we thought was made for you.
