Anastasiia Salos @ WCC Minsk 2021
Photos by Pawel S.
TAG YOURSELF I’M KHRISTYA FACEPALMING
nastya and alina with their euros medals!!
Late individual finals commentary
Salos had my favorite routines this season . Her clubs and ball routines in particular were just insanely difficult and entertaining. But with her with mistakes; when it rains it pours.
In fact, Belarus as a whole, had the most exciting and dynamic routines this quad imo.
Boryana’s clubs really stuck out to me. It was amazing. pirouette queen.
Omg the fierceness during Boryana’s ribbon!!! I loved the energy, she’s so adorable.
It started to look pathetic that Russia was requesting an inquiry every time one of the twins performed
I’m sorry, Dina’s clubs routine was so messy.
Dina nearly always rotates after the catch and not during and it irks me.
I have a soft spot for Arina and i’m sad for her but performance wise, it really wasn’t a good day for her. She really looked over it.
Both the twins looked SO physically and mentally drained, especially Arisha
can we ban that bella ciao song pls
Khyrstyna was precious at the end of her ribbon routine! Clubs were my favorite of hers today.
I’m sad for Viktoriias mistakes in ball and ribbon however that ribbon routine is so freaking cool thou and I love her lines.
I couldn’t tell if Irina was praying or eye rolling after Viktoriias ribbon but for the preservation of my anger, i’m going to say she was praying
The ukrainians did awesome especially since they were the youngest competing today.
I loveeeeeed Milenas clubs and ribbon. Her ribbon was so poised yet dramatic. And that ribbon leo….gorgeous.
Even though there was a drop, Linoys ribbon was my fav of hers today.
Having a hard time understanding the dragon leo but the spanish music with Nicol. I liked her ball routine the best today!
I was crying with Alina such a beautiful moment. Proud of her.
A little pissed at Dina’s lack of sportsmanship. I get the disappointment, I really do but wow….
Also the inquiry after Dina got second. Left a bad taste in my mouth.
CONGRATS TO EVERYONE! Everyone should be celebrating!!!

Since we're talking about romance in the DCEU, please write some meta about romantic Clois in Man of Steel, and BvS too if you want.
I think the most radical thing about them was how they were allowed to grow together and see an adult relationship on the horizon. Like, personal drama doesn’t fuel Lois and Clark, which is something that most DC writers have yet to figure out. They are great when we get to see them act like a team and help each other.
Snyder knows this because HIS MARRIAGE IS A TEAM and we need so many more men who know what that’s like first hand to be writing these characters. It’s so glorious to see Lois supporting and hearing Clark when the darkness closes in on him, and it’s so uplifting to see Clark make goofy and sweeping romantic gestures to address Lois’ doubt.
These films GET them and they get what it is that I love about them and what makes them so strong that 75 years of intermittently shitty, often misogynist, frequently abusive writing couldn’t blot them out.
