I’m giving up alcohol for a month.
Wait sorry, that didn’t come out right:
I’m giving up. Alcohol for a month.

I’m tired and gay. that’s all I ever am. that’s all I’ll ever be.
I opened myself to the gentle indifference of the world.

do u ever just look at ur muse and just “you make shit decisions”
“You are… rather straightforward with your judgement, are you not?” Unfortunate, that the golden haired young man the other spoke to was tied by blood to none else than the host himself. “Well, I am sure uncle has something in stock to entertain everyone, and if not then… well, let me apologise as the party didn’t meet your expectations..”
“Well, it was something rather obvio-” His teeth clicked together with an audible sound, a cough going through his lips. Oh. Wow, he’d rather messed this one up. “My apologies. I had thought you were another guest. Please forgive my rudeness.”
❝Maybe yer nobles are far more different than the ones I’ve seen.❞ She frowned a bit, sighing and she propped herself onto the table, sitting back ❝Our’s are rulers, snobby ones. It’s annoyin’ really.❞
“Mmm, that kind of feeling is... human, really,” he stated, shrugging quietly. “Some of them are more snobbish than others, I shan’t fault you there.” The Barmas, for instance, and some of the Rainsworths. Even the Vessalius and the Nightray had their moments. “I suppose you could consider it a matter of perspective. Inside looking out versus outside looking in.”
“Well, it’s easy to remember something when punishment’s involved. You do whatever you want, that dog is yours.” The boredom of the conversation was getting to her, and she flipped on to her back, gauging how safe she’d be if she were to jump down from the ledge. If anything she should be able to outrun a dog, and with that reasoning she gave an easy leap down onto the ground.
“So, what’s your name?”
“Of course it is, but Horatio is an older dog. He takes more time to learn something than would a younger dog.” He patted his canine, the English sheepdog panting happily. The noble doubled his grip on the leash when the feline leaped down, but thankfully, Horatio stayed where he was. He considered for a moment before giving a mental shrug. He saw little harm in giving the cat his name. “Ernest Nightray. And who are you?”

Well, this was embarrassing. He supposed that was what he deserved, for choosing to shop somewhere other than the normal store he preferred. “Excuse me!” he called. “I’m terribly sorry to bother you, but might you know where I can find the rice cakes?”

Fenrir was usually quite well-behaved, so when he saw the dog bristling up, he knew it was something to be concerned abou- okay, maybe not, Fenrir was trained as a hunting dog, and that was a man apparently with rabbit ears. The noble quietly rested a hand on his dog’s side, a silent command to hold. He could keep control of Fenrir, at least for long enough for the man to pass. He hoped.

The sound of a crash had Ernest looking up from where he’d been working on balancing the books, and the sight he saw had his hand politely covering the smile as he push himself from behind the counter. It seemed that Atticus the problem bird had sprung another jailbreak for the finches. “It’s all right,” he called as he came over. “They’re fairly harmless. Give me a few moments and I can put them back in the cage.”

Ernest sighed quietly, standing out on the balcony and swirling a small glass of wine thoughtfully. “Tell me,” he asked, turning his head to the side, “are all of the parties here this boring or is it merely that this one is exceptionally so?”
somewhere in an alternate timeline there’s a version of me who makes good decisions regularly. good for them. fuck them, though
