(( BOOM REBOOT ))
ardentshootingstar:
Starman made frequent visits into the city; his job wasn’t everything, after all! Even if he wasn’t going into shops and buying anything it was still nice to walk around and do some window-shopping. Seeing as how he wasn’t on the job he had decided to go in civilian clothing, wearing a button-up jacket that was a tad too large for him and boots. His shirt, although it couldn’t be seen, was white, and his pants were red. The jacket was a darker shade of red than the pants and the boots were brown.
He was completely unaware of Centaur until she ended up slamming into him. The former DWN let out a sudden squeak followed by a cough at the feeling of her legs being jabbed into his stomach. He landed on his backside, a look of shock on his face as he tried to process what just happened. He winced and closed one of his eyes as he saw someone above him, his vision obscured.
It was then that he heard Centaur speaking to him, and he looked up, and up, to meet her face. He gave her a reassuring smile, scooting back a little and standing up. “I’m fine! It’s okay.” He said, brushing himself off. “It didn’t hurt too bad.”
Now that he got a better look at her, he tilted his head. “…Say, you look familiar…Have I seen you somewhere before?”
“A-Are you sure? That probably hurt, I’m so sorry! I wasn’t looking where I was going, and...”
Centaur was trying not to panic, but it was nearly impossible for her to calm down. She felt on edge just being here, and now she feared she would get in trouble for accidentally running into someone. At least the poor guy wasn’t trampled on, or else she’d really be in for it.
Now he was asking if he recognized her. Centaur wasn’t quite sure how to respond to that, as she hadn’t seen him before, and it wasn’t like she was going to blurt out why she was here. “I... wouldn’t know. You don’t look all that familiar to me. Am I missing something here?”
Centaur was hoping none of this would lead into trouble.
Monstropolis. Was. Huge. Centaur didn’t know what she was thinking coming here, but Quick Man had suggested it, and it couldn’t hurt... she didn’t think it would, anyway. It was hard to tell when the city was so disorienting, and she couldn’t help but feel out of place. Curse her gigantic half-horse body.
It didn’t take long for Centaur to get absolutely lost, and she was about ready to hightail out of the city. She was too distracted to try and keep in mind anyone who might end up in front of her, and one sharp turn later, she slammed right into another person. Of course, that mostly meant the other person was hit in the guts by her legs, and she was left nearly tripping over herself trying not to trample them.
“A-ah! I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Are you okay? You’re not hurt, are you?” Thank goodness it wasn’t a human, as that would have proven disastrous. She wasn’t sure how the short robot was handling colliding into a horse, though.
Stares at. "...You're Centaur, right?"
Returns the stare.
“You’ve got it. Crash Man, correct?”
In spite of the fact that Centaur Woman had been a part of Dr. Wily’s army for a while, she hadn’t gotten much of a chance to speak to this one. Perhaps some interaction was overdue.
