brief bio:
at first, nigel hated the idea of joining the troupe. working with a bunch of acting and drama nerds? sounds LAME. yet his parents thought it’d be good for him.
over time he actually DID develop a passion for it. he figured out it wasn’t as dumb as he thought it’d be and really enjoys working on different productions.

brief bio: Umbra always loved attention and grabbing it. She believes in the spotlight in life is on her and she LOVES it. She saw acting as a way to even gain more attention, and her lack of stage fright can certainly help her along. Her acting has an edge of confidence and can dominate. She has a tendency to improvise her lines, forgetting them easily along the way. She can never stick to the script easily. What really sparked her when it comes to acting was in roleplay activities in school. She was often overdramatic, but she loved it. As for her life outside theatre, She lives with her sister while her parents are off on their business travels.

muse’s desired role: Sara would have a deep enjoyment being placed within Costumes or Hair/Makeup. While an enjoyment towards being an Assistant Director she’d only want the position if it was needed.
brief bio: Sara has always had an interest within’ the acting arts, from simply being the school mascot in school games, to the whole idea of acting and every aspect that goes into it. She’d first join to simply experience the endeavor of creating a show with a quick wish to taking a hand in helping create the experience.

muse’s desired role: lighting crew, but she’s happy with stage crew. she’s willing to help in anyway but far prefers to be backstage.
brief bio: Lorna first found her interest in theatre after picking up a copy of The Crucible at fourteen, at which point she buried herself in plays. She knew she could do be doing shows all this time but hasn’t gotten involved until recently. It’s one of the few things her aunt approves of, and gives Lorna more of a sense of freedom, usefulness, and friendship (no matter how shy she may be) than she had before.

faceclaim: Aside from animated, younger face claim is Dylan Kingwell should it be needed in any instance.
muse’s desired role: Prefers set design or prop management then performing. However, he’s not vehemently opposed to being in the ensemble or filling in a minor role if needed.
brief bio: It was either this or math club, though this is barely a punishment either. He has enough of an interest in theatre to take it seriously. While he does like to sing, and has some acting skills, Timmy’s strengths lie in set designing. He’s built whole sets by himself, and made sure his theatre teacher made note of them despite using the wrong blue paint. He still puts in a lot of work, if not for the others, for his own feeling of self worth. Aside from getting the appeal for his parents (who actually remembered Timmy needed to be doing some kind of after school activities), he’s also hoping to get some sort of validation from all his hard work considering his teacher brushed off all his hard work just because he used a different shade of blue.

muse’s desired role: actor/sound crew
brief bio: When her foster parents first dragged Dani to a Centerville Theatre show at the end of the last season, the preteen had fairly low expectations. She’d never attended a play before, and the idea of watching a bunch of kids on a stage playing make-believe didn’t sound all that interesting. By the end of the evening, however, Dani was enthralled. It was the first thing that “clicked” with her since she’d been moved to her current home. Thus, both her case worker and her foster parents were thrilled to sign the girl up to be part of the next junior troupe.
While Dani is most interested in trying out acting for herself, she also has a fascination with music and the process that goes into making it. A friend of hers from her last group home, Amber, had taught her a little about how you make recordings. Once Dani realized that a lot of the same equipment is used in theatre, she became even more excited about becoming part of the troupe.

brief bio: arthur had always been a good actor. he just never knew it. not having many toys to play with, nor any friends for that matter, he would let his imagination run riot. pretending to be a knight who slays any monster who threatens the kingdom, or a pirate who sails overseas in search for adventure. merlin, now his new legal guardian, had noticed this ever since he was nothing but a friend of the boy who happened to double as his tutor. it was incredible to see the boy when he was completely emerged in his own little world, when on the outside world he was socially handicapped. then, with a brilliant idea in mind, merlin came home with an scarlet red pamphlet that arthur received with confusion. centerville theatre’s troupe, it read. and now, without any warning, arthur was part of it- merlin of course knew that if he asked beforehand, the boy would have not accepted the offer so easily. now his talent would be put to the test. and take into account, arthur had never played any character with anyone but himself; he had been his only audience. now the spotlight would shower him, and it would be up to him to either shine as the brightest star, or awkwardly petrify in front of a full theatre. only time would tell.

brief bio: There were a lot of things that had led up to this point in her life, honestly; and though she would never admit it aloud, things could’ve been a lot worse. With enough misdemeanors to fill an entire book, but yet nothing major enough to call for greater action, it was demanded of Beatrice that she find some sort of… positive outlet. So, it was with a gentle nudge—or a shove, really—that she was directed towards the local theater troupe where she resents every moment she has to spend in the building.

muse’s desired role:
- Actor: Greg can easily cover any roles that involve children, or just any roles in general, he adapts to his characters very easily when it comes to participate in a play.
- Costumes: He knows how to sew, he made part of his costume all by himself, he even fixes his own clothes if his mother gives him permission. If he had the chance he can help with someone’s costume if necessary.
brief bio: Greg has always enjoyed to sing, dance, and just incarnate character in general. He’s contantly making a whole show with only his skills, but has never got the chance of participating in a play, or just visiting the theater in general, he’s just too young to go all by himself and most people that could accompany him just… don’t or lack of the time.
He decided to join the junior troupe just to have the chance of finally showing his skills without being taken as ‘a joke’ or just 'ridicule’ (at least his mother gave him permission after promising so many times that he would be a responsible kid and would follow any instructions given to him).

brief bio: Jason Funderberker joined the group out of a passion for the theater and creative outlet. He went to try out immediately and just hopes to make new friends and have fun. Funderberker tries to be helpful however he can and likes giving encouragement to the rest of the crew. He’s not always outspoken but he has a lot of motivation, creative ideas, and good will for the cast & crew. Whatever he is set to, he will see it through.

THE RULES:
- no duplicate muses/faceclaims unless a twin verse is discussed.
- NO OOC drama. can’t stress this enough (unless it’s drama like the stage drama). IC drama is encouraged but please be kind to each other.
- this is open to all fandoms, though faceclaims are not necessary. note that there may be animated muses interacting with live action muses. OCs are more than welcome !!
- while there are a few slots for adult muses to act as supervisors in the group, you can also age your muse down and use a teen verse to apply !!
- this group is meant to be fairly stress free, so you have no obligation to post in it every day. do try to be somewhat active, however !!

THE AUDITION:
note that it’s not actually an audition per se, but an application. these are taken on a first come/first serve basis, so if someone with your muse applies before you, they will be accepted. spots may be reserved for up to 24 hours, however if we don’t receive the whole app within that time, your slot will be opened.

there will be a junior and a senior troupe, depending on muse age, as well as a couple slots for adults to act as supervisors/directors. currently there are four adult slots (two per troupe), but these may be adjusted depending on demand.
THE TROUPES
note: the following descriptions are in-universe. actual IC experience may vary.
the senior troupe (for any high school age muses; 14+): a different type of drama for high school students to explore, whether you’re passionate about the stage or just have a passing interest. this troupe takes on more complex plays, and allows leadership opportunities in working with the junior troupe and assisting them behind the scenes.
- assisted by two adult directors (can either be from the theatre or the high school)
the junior troupe (for any muses younger than high school; 13 or lower): a great way for the younger kids to get a taste for the theatre in a safe environment with their peers. the plays performed by the junior troupe are less complex, and the atmosphere is generally more relaxed than the senior troupe.
- assisted by two adult directors (as well as the senior troupe)
Also note: while we do have two split troupes, there is nothing saying that the members of one can’t go and visit the others. feel free to intermingle with the cast and crew of either troupe!
