Lizzy and Haley visited the site last week on their bike tour across the states raising funds for global healthcare. Lizzy Trickey has a special connection to the site as her great uncle Roy was married to Minnijean Brown Trickey. Ranger Jodi took them on a walk to Central High School and we were all happy to get a chance to meet with them and learn about their endeavor. To learn more about their ride and read a blog about their stop at Central visit http://ift.tt/1i6h3gT. Good luck and have a good ride. Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site
On this day in 1957, the Arkansas National Guard soldiers followed orders barring the Little Rock Nine from entering Central High School. A crowd gathered across the street chanting, "Two, four, six, eight, we don't want to integrate." How do you decide if you will follow orders? When do you exercise your right to protest?
