Could you expand on the role of animals in Centrum? Are they commonly kept as pets?

In Solum and Urbem it’s very common to see pets. In Solum, they are usually farm friendly animals and in Urbem, they are more exotic. Throughout the other provinces you will see some families here and there with pets, but it’s much less common and even more so for singles–college students, unmarried people–to have pets. Keep in mind though that the wild fauna of the world is much more dangerous and most are at least slightly mutated than current animals. Domesticated animals are similar to current pets but may be modified in breeding as between the end of the second era and stabilization of the third there weren’t many pets kept or even around to keep.

Metéo̱ro Festival

In Urbem, at least once a year, there are special festivals to celebrate the meteor showers that happen overhead the city. Urbem is the only province known to celebrate the showers, as they are not considered national events. 

During these festivals, all traditional lights in the city are turned off. Instead, the streets and main plaza around Centrum Hall are minimally illuminated by various colours of neon lights. The raised stage-like park area is set up for a small concert by the top performers, and the public dress in costumes ranging from simple to elaborate and covered in metallic hues, sequins, glitter, and tulle. After the shower, a small firework show is also displayed for the citizens' enjoyment.

Centrum Hall

Centrum Hall is the main government building in Urbem, much like the town halls of the provinces. It is the place of work of the Center, many high ranking government people, and home the Centrum Court and council meetings. Only decindum who work within the building may enter, save for special occasions like Center Inaugural ceremonies and galas in which the hall is open to the public.

The building has a total of twelve floors, only three of which are ever seen by non-government workers. Each floor is heavily guarded and watched by very high ranking guards, and the top floor, the Center's private office, is guarded by at least two soldiers at all times.

THE CITY OF URBEM

The city of Urbem is home to all of the Nobellum in Centrum. The shining orb of Centrum Hall is surrounded by nine buildings that make up the heart of the city. The half crescent structure around the north east side of Centrum Hall is the Centrum National Historic Museum. It holds a large library that contains one copy of all the books saved from the second era as well as all of the famous works that were salvaged. The CNHM also holds records of all the Centers and Council members, as well as various other historic exhibits. 

The four large buildings surrounding Centrum Hall's northern hemisphere are the major attractions for the residents and visitors of Urbum. Many "high-end" shops, restaurants, and other things like clubs, lounges, or theaters, are also found within these buildings. 

The southeastern building, next to the National Maglev Depot, is the only hotel structure in the city. It is used mostly for Council members however other citizens are able to stay there. The southwestern most building is the Centrum Science and Medical Laboratory. They work night and day to research for the bettering of all dicendum life.

Outside the heart of the city, all housing for Nobellum is located. The center's mansion is at the northern most point of Urbem, surrounded by over twenty acres of land for security purposes. 

The three large buildings south of the heart of the city are (west to east) Urbem Apartments, the Urbem Recreational Center, and Prism Tower. 

Urbem is unique in the fact that it is the only city in Centrum with underground transportation--terminal located beneath the southern most building in the heart of the city) and the only location with an airship port (located northwest of the heart of the city).
