Times Tables the Fun Way~ A Homeschool Crew Review
Learning multiplication facts has been a bit of a struggle for us. It was a struggle for me to learn in school but it did eventually click. Times Alive is an online digital product that contains online lessons with animated songs…

Hey everyone, hope you’ve had a great week so far! Sometime soon, I hope, my husband and I will be going through the books Thirty-One Prayers for My Wife and Thirty-One Prayers for My Husband from Unveiled Wife. I purchased these recently and cannot wait to dive into them. Praying for your marriage is so important, and I think these will be great tools.
Well here is our menu for the week.

SchoolhouseTeachers.com~ Homeschool Crew Review
I’m pretty excited about this review. While I have reviewed SchoolhouseTeachers.com before, so much has changed since then, and I’ve been given another Yearly Membership to review. Yay me!
One of the first things I want to talk about is something I don’t remember from my previous memberships with SchoolhouseTeachers.com is the 3 emails I received from them after my membership was instated. In two…

The Beginner’s Bible – A Schoolhouse Crew Review
Well, I am excited to announce that I’m once again a member of the TOS Review Crew! I’m excited to be a part of such a wonderful team of fellow bloggers. My first review for the year is an awesome product for children on the younger side: it’s called The Beginner’s Bible from Zonderkidz. Zonderkidz provides a wide selection of children’s books, including Bibles and storybooks. I was happy to…

Merry Christmas!
We had a wonderful and busy Christmas. I hope you and your family have had a wonderful holiday!
The kids got some end-of-year and Christmas money, and they all wanted pets of their own. We now have 3 hamsters, 2 finches, and 2 guinea pigs.

Homeschool 2016-17
School feels different this year for me for some reason. I’m not if it’s because my kids are growing like lightning or because I worked part-time early in the school year what. I’ve had a hard time trying to find a curriculum that will work for us. I have a sophomore, 8th, 6th, and 2nd grader.
I wanted to find something for Rach so she could work more independently, so I signed her up for…

Happy Anniversary
My husband and I are celebrating 19 years together as a married couple. We had started dating in July the year before, and then we got engaged a month later. We probably would’ve gotten married sooner, but I was a senior in high school and still a minor. I also really wanted to elope, but he wouldn’t go for it so we had a pretty small wedding.
Our anniversary falls on a Monday, so we went on a…

It's My Birthday!
It’s My Birthday!
When you’re an adult people don’t normally make a big deal about your birthday like they do when you’re a child. That’s okay, though. As long as I have my family around that’s all I need. It’s pretty much been like any other day, although my sweet husband did cook supper for me! He made some yummy salmon with mushrooms. My mom and I share a birthday, so I took her out to eat yesterday. Of…

Artist - Holiday Gift Guide
Artist – Holiday Gift Guide
My daughter Rachelle has some pretty great art skills, and I love to hear about new art-related products…or at least new to me! Art is a broad and important part of life, and fostering artistic expression in kids sets them on a positive path, whether it’s a hobbyist, professional, as an outlet or pure aesthetic expression. The common thread is that it is creative, expressive, it can inspire us,…

Well, it Been a While
Wow, it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted, hasn’t it?! I’ve had a pretty busy last few months; well, busier than normal. Over the summer I worked part-time as a barista at Starbucks. It was actually a pretty fun job to have, and if I had to go back to work, I’d that would definitely be my first choice for employment. Even though it was only part-time, it was still somewhat difficult to fit…

Top 5 Dad's Day Deals
Top 5 Dad’s Day Deals

In that spirit, I’ve put together my Top 5 Deals for Dad’s Day ranging from photography to fitness, so Father’s Day (and beyond) is centered around growing and making…

Many parents and educators worry about losing the learning momentum during summertime, whether it’s due to a less structured schedule, or weather that just doesn’t scream “library time.” But this challenge can be an opportunity with the right tools.
