Never work with children and animals. An urban myth to say the least. It’s all in the planning and anticipation of what might happen and how to deal with it. Quite often it’s dealing with the pet owner or animal wrangler who are more challenging and far less patient than their animals. This is the trailer for my first short documentary which I am thrilled to say is now complete. Due to the nature of film festivals and competitions I am currently not showing this film publicly and the short is password protected. A Week In December. This was the third cover I shot for Sebastian Faulks on the Millennium Bridge at dawn. We had permission to shoot on the bridge but no permission to shut it down and stop traffic. I knew it would work in our favour with London waking up and commuters stating to cross the bridge in the background. Briony. One of the joys about shooting book covers is hopefully you have an opportunity to try things out on the shoot day. From my experience this often leads to the unexpected shot that becomes the hero session of the shoot and sometime not. Sometimes it is really hard to make a choice from a session and that’s a good thing. All this depends on your planning, team and especially the collaboration with your art director.
