“What are you doing here, Louis?” the princess asked, looking back and forth between myself and Giles.
‘Please,’ my gaze skated over to him, willing him to understand.
Giles was staring back at me with a look of disbelief that gradually melted into his usual above-it-all glare.
‘I’m begging you.’
Ever since I had met the woman who became the Princess Elect, I had been enchanted by her. She thought nothing of getting on her knees in the palace garden and rooting around for a single flower.
All of the other women were fancied up within an inch of their lives, and wouldn’t have dared to put even one toe upon the grass, for fear of staining their hemlines.
But there she was, searching undaunted for magic which doesn’t even exist in this world.
What would she have looked like, had she found her “magic” flower and walked back in to join the other ladies, the bottom of her dress muddied, and her hair gloriously undone?
Would she hold her head high as she swept through the room?
I could imagine the biting remarks she would receive, for daring to even show up in the first place.
I wanted to see her do it. I wanted to hear her stand her ground– to do what I never had the strength to do.
I could see her, gloriously beautiful in her unadorned way, so much stronger than I ever thought I could be.
By the time I realized the path my thoughts had lead me down, I was already in the middle of snapping at her that the palace was no place for someone like her.
It wasn’t.
But I didn’t mean for it to come out that way.
I was sure I’d blown my chances, and that I’d never see her again.
When I got her invitation– or, I should say, when I got Giles’ thoroughly checked and approved invitation, just with her signature on it –for a date with the princess, I was shocked to say the least.
After meeting her, I thought that I had made a great impression– but it’s been over a month since I’d heard from her.
It wasn’t until I was complaining to Alyn, last week, that I learned the reason: Giles had been setting her up on blind dates with other suitors.
Of course he would. It’s his duty, as well as hers.
I know that.
I know.
But…

Suitors at a job Interview
With all my interviews and such… I decided a little humor was in order.
*** Byron: “I’ve run a country since I was 16, and conquered two others.”
Interviewer: “Can you change the toner in a copier?”
Byron: “A what now?” *** Interviewer: “Why should we hire you?”
Nico: “I take really short bathroom breaks.” *** Interviewer: “Have you ever been accused of sexual harassment at work?”
Giles: “Next question please.” *** Albert: “I have a great resume as you can see.”
Interviewer: “Your resume says, ‘King Byron Fanboy Club President,’ and ‘Benjamin Bunny Caretaker.’”
Albert: “NIIICCCOOO!” *** Interviewer: “Please tell us about something stressful at work and how you dealt with it.”
Robert: “I once let a country fall into ruin. I left to travel the world…. that sounds bad doesn’t it? It didn’t sound that bad in my head…” *** Interviewer: “Can you explain what you do at your current job-”
Leo: “As little as possible.” *** Interviewer: “Can you describe your current job?”
Sid: “I drink and I know things.” *** Interviewer: “Sir, why are you wearing a suit of armor?”
Alyn: “I like to be prepared.”
Interviewer: “This is a job interview for a bakery shop.”
Alyn: “Have you ever had a three day old roll thrown at you? I thought not.” *pulls down helmet* *** Interviewer: “How do you feel about teamwork?”
Rayvis: “Ew.” *** Interviewer: “Do you have any special skills?”
Louis: “I’m pretty.”
Interviewer: “Hired.”

Giles - chooses a thong that he pulls up so far over his hips you can see it when he bends over.
Alyn - “You want me to do what? Is this gonna squish my nut sack?” (Most difficult)
Albert - “Is this some kind of Wysterian custom?” (Second most difficult)
Rayvis - “As long as they’re comfortable I don’t care.”

[louis and leo also takes the bus once in a while cos they kind of like public transports - leo to sightsee and observe people and louis cause he’s grown up using the bus.
byron tried to take the train once, all alone, and ended up giving albert a heart attack cos he got lost somewhere in the middle. lol.]
Leo: Hey, Princess, are you a painting?
MC: Err... no?
Leo: Because I'd like to nail you against a wall.
Robert: Oh good. I thought you were going to say that you wanted to hang her.
Suitors + travelling pt. 1 (because come on, they need a break)
Alyn: Sick and tired of forests. Goes to the big city and strolls. Good with directions like he’s been there (no it’s actually his first time). Visits pastry shops and probably takes a short crash course in cooking local dishes. Photos are landmarks without him as he doesn’t want to bother anyone taking pictures for him, nor does he take selfie sticks.
Louis: Vacation is volunteering. He goes to the east to visit some foundations (mostly children’s foundations) and helps out. Doesn’t stay in fancy hotels, he’d live at the local building and help prepare things for their activities. He’s actually not picky for someone pampered. Sometimes the power goes out for the whole day and it’s frickin’ hot, you’ll find him swimming in the rivers with the kids. One time though, a gecko jumped on his back while he was taking a dump in an outside shed and since then he doesn’t do his business often. Photos are taken by other people and he keeps getting tagged in them.
Byron: Summers are his favorite. Hits an exotic beach somewhere 2476327563487 miles away from Stein. Soaks up in both the sun and sea, sippin on pineapple juice. Also likes watersports, but leaves Albert by the shore because he almost drowned one time. Photos are taken by Nico. Everything is chill.
Leo: Travelling is immersing himself to a new culture, so we find him staying for months in one place. Learns the language, follows their customs like a local, and is like the best bud of everyone in the street. Shops like a local, gets discounts because he’s cute. Forgets to actually bring souvenirs home because they’re too much of a baggage. So Alyn, have this picture of him eating balut, because he swears it’s tasty you have to see it. Photos are mostly selfies with landmarks in the background, some tribal tattoos, and more of locals.
Sid: Actually extravagant with travelling because it makes him feel good. Infinity pools, partying, shopping for brand, and all. Spends nights at the casino and wins almost every time. Maybe he’s cheating the system? lol. Talks to big shots while playing and actually connects with them and grows his network. Okay, maybe he’s actually working. Photos are him half naked in the pool with a bunch of other people.
