after using this pedal for pretty much a decade I have had two observations. 1, it rules! and 2, I always mess up shutting it off in Latch Mode (where I always have it set) resulting in it grabbing a new note accidentally. seemingly harmless until you’re on stage and you end up fumbling trying to shut off this new wrong note again. if you’re not aware, the Freeze grabs a very small sliver of whatever your playing and sustains it. In Latch Mode, it will hold the note until you press it again to grab a new note or you do a quick double press to shut it off. seems easy but Ive still managed to mess this up so many times it has lead me here. I developed a small board to go inside the pedal that is controlled by a dual soft touch momentary footswitch. the switch on the right functions as a duplicate of the one on the actual pedal but the one on the left acts as an OFF switch while in Latch Mode. No more double tap! Just one press and the pedal will turn off. it all connects through a TRS cable. small, simple, and foolproof. I will be offering these as a mail-in mod starting soon.
