"zuha, baby, you better have packed that red bikini because WOW." she giggled as the girls boarded the boat. "if jungwon screws up, let him know i'm next in line."

she looked around at the boat and smiled to herself that everything looked exactly as she expected. maybe better.

"there is a bedroom downstairs, so everyone bring your changes of clothes and lay them out on the bed." her eyes fall on eunchae. "does our baby want to have first dibs on pictures? or should we start with some champagne first?"

the promise had started with sunscreen. she'd caught him at the pool bar without a trace of spf on his skin, scolded him for it, and by the time she'd finished rubbing it across his shoulders and back, she'd casually mentioned scheduling him an appointment at the resort spa.

he hadn't questioned it.

which was exactly why he was about to be very surprised.

chaewon glanced around the massage suite one last time, smoothing the edge of a freshly folded towel before stepping back to admire her set up.

the room glowed beneath warm amber lighting, soft enough to blur every hard edge without leaving the space too dim. a diffuser released slow curls of sandalwood and bergamot into the air, mixing with the faint scent of eucalyptus from the heated towels waiting nearby. somewhere overhead, a quiet instrumental playlist drifted through hidden speakers, calm enough to settle nerves she refused to admit she had.

her eyes landed on the massage table in the center of the room, crisp white linens untouched, everything perfectly arranged exactly the way she'd envisioned it. the setup looked professional enough to sell the illusion for at least a few seconds before he realized there wasn't going to be a licensed therapist walking through that door.

just her.

three soft knocks echoed through the room.
