There are some short sequences I am really proud of. Whenever I'm able to connote a meaning with success it makes me feel as though I have won over my audience. This is what representation is all about, and challenging it is all about finding an alternative way to grab somebody's attention. This is the main reason for which I'm presenting my project through a blog. It doesn't just bring people closer to me, but it brings people closer to my work, and that's what really matters.

this is a really intricate GIF as the colours in the trees have been made blue within each frame individually, creating a surreal efect, but ultimately a landscape which represents the subject. He is bright, and colours, and his personality is what shines through.

the movement in this GIF is really interesting. if you observe it, the camera crabs around the subject as he lifts the camera up to his eye, and back down to create a dual motion within the moving image. Not only this, but it also connotes his attentiveness when he observes the image he took as he looks down, into the camera. There is a lot going on here for a short GIF

another short commercial film, this one features a vintage exhibition. although this says nothing about somebody’s personal identity, it does challenge the norm. and it features products and objects which have either been made by somebody as an expression of art, or have been objects and products which people once used frequently on a daily basis, leaving behind traces of what may have been part of their identity.

Originally, a simple GIF, this video has the addition of better quality, classy music and better editing. This is like the refined version of the original GIF.

there's something about identity and the representation of it which has intrigued me from the beginning. I feel like there's nothing quite like representing somebody through forms of art.

a fascinating show of what identity means through a person’s image. This sequence the natural movement of a person through art form. in a way it’s like a show of how someone’s identity is taken with them wherever they go.

My GIF and video work caught attention from some people who work in the media industry, which has allowed me to work with my skills to produce professional videos for companies and exhibitions... anyone who looks through my work will see that among personal short films and stills, there will also be professional videos I have made.

A highlights video, with a hyperlapse twist. It all revolves around the experience someone will have by visiting the Adobe Summit. hopefully next year’s video will be even better because this one is already quite impressive!!

GIF work has allowed me to understand film better, and in turn I have transferred my skills into the realm of film making. The technique is the same, however slight complications come into play with video. The duration for example is a lot longer, and the transition from scene to scene must be fluid, and must ultimately make sense.

a short film depicting a crab motion all around a motorcycle. it’s obviously a short test video, however the skills used in it are sufficient to say it’s different and effective.

This GIF seems to challenge traditional representation more than the other tilt shift images within the series. The movement in the river is representative of the movement within society. Because it’s a GIF, and it is repeated, it challenges the traditional representation of the flow of a river, whereas within this sequence, everything is repeated and stays the same.

The work of Richard Silver has certainly sparked some curiosity in my regarding tilt-shift photography, however I prefer GIF animations and feel like they are far more appropriate, not only to my skillset but also my goal.

This tilt shift image takes a different approach to the other two. This is obviously just experimental, but the effect is sweet and serene. The focus is on the clouds and makes the rest of the scene seem dramatically less important.

Another tilt shift image, this photo fails to create a miniature effect yet again. The focus being concentrated on the clouds makes a really nice effect of belittling the rest of the scenery, which is after all what the miniature effect is all about.
