Sehun’s nervous. And not just the normal, jittery kind of nervous, but the holy shit I can’t believe this is happening oh no what if he doesn’t like me nervous. Which is silly, he knows, especially because he’s been dating Minseok for months - they’ve done everything from texting to calling each other for hours at odd times of the night to Skype sex.
He knows Minseok. He knows exactly how Minseok likes his coffee in the mornings to the way he prefers to study - in his room with the shades drawn so nothing distracts him - to the sound he makes when he’s about to come. He was there when Minseok got a promotion at his job and he was the first one Sehun texted when Sehun found out he made all A’s on his report card.
And yet they’ve yet to meet offline. That’s going to change in about fifteen minutes, for the better or worse, and Sehun finds himself worrying his bottom lip with his teeth, palms sweaty. He wipes them off on his jeans, not that it does much good.
Close your eyes, Sehun thinks, and take a deep breath. Everything is going to be just fine -
Sehun nearly jumps in his seat, hitting his knee on the bottom of the table in surprise. Standing right next to him, amused, is Minseok. He’s wearing a simple blue t-shirt and jeans, but holy shit Sehun doesn’t think he’s seen anyone hotter. Video calls and selcas definitely did not do Minseok justice, that’s for sure. He finds himself staring at Minseok’s lips a little bit longer than what’s probably socially acceptable, but it’s not his fault, really. Minseok’s lips look so soft and kissable and -
“Sehun,” Minseok says again, and Sehun hits his other knee on the underside of the table when he jolts. Minseok laughs. “I appreciate howkissable my lips are, but I think I’d rather get some dinner in us first.”
“Did I really say that out loud?” Sehun contemplates hiding his face in his hands when Minseok nods, laughing again, but he doesn’t want Minseok to think he’s secretly a total loser (even though he is). He smiles sheepishly and gestures toward the other side of the table. “It’s really nice to see you,” Sehun says, ducking his head a little as a sudden wave of shyness overcomes him.
Minseok reaches across the table with one hand, slipping his fingers between Sehun’s and squeezing. It’s warm, reassuring, and most of all it feels right. “We should’ve done this a lot sooner.”
