Hello admin-nim, anon-dream here! SoĀ I was browsing through your blog and coincidently saw anĀ ask thatĀ one of your followers sent you, you know,Ā the one about CBās current relationship. I am not sure if it was directed to me (I donāt think so actually haha)Ā nevertheless I would like to share my opinion regarding this matter if you donāt mind, dear admin-nim! :)
While I absolutely agree with theĀ assumption that C and B like each other (note: ālikeā as in āhaving special feelings for each otherā, āspecialā as in āfeelings they donāt feel for anyone elseā). StillĀ I cannot bring myself to agree with the speculationĀ that these two are still in the ācourting stageā / ādenial stageā, that there is no āawarenessā regarding their feelings towards each other. Now, I am not an āinsiderā eitherĀ (as you might now, I am very careful with this topic), meaning that I can only draw conclusions from what I have observed with my own eyes and heard with my own ears. I am also not a psychologist or aĀ love specialist or anything of that sort. But I can still base my thoughts on something that we all have, namely basic knowledge inĀ human interactions/relationships that one gains by experience or by observing people in your every day life. And when I try to apply this āknowledgeā to CB, thenĀ I see a lot of things that, for me, indicate an established relationship rather than one between two people who are still unsure about their feelings. Chanyeolās and Baekhyunās interactions are known for not being characterised by heavy skinship and yet they ooze with so much intimacyĀ that is hard to put into words. As admin-nim has mentioned in her post, there is this mutual understanding, this āI know what you are thinking just by looking at you.ā - kind of feeling.Ā Chanyeol and Baekhyun have proven a lot of times just how much they know each other. They used to be roommates and therefore practically lived together with the other members for quite some time and I believe that they stillĀ spend a lot of time together in private even though itās rare for us to see that butĀ when we do, itās always them going out in the middle of the night, eating pork knuckles until 2AM, singing their heart out in Chanyeolās car or riding a tiny scooter together - which are things friends would do, of course, yes but when it is mostlyĀ kept so private in comparison to, letās say, Chanyeolās endless trips and activities with Sehun - it kind of tells me that these are things ājust between themā, things that they might cherish and want to keep for themselves. This might sound very cheesy now but C and B sure are āin their own worldā sometimes, arenāt they? They are obviously close but they never shove this closeness into anyoneās face. In fact, people who do not know them might be confused with how many people ship this pairing despite themĀ neve interacting excessively on stage. You really have to squint and once you do, you will come accross stolen glances, fond smiles, insider jokes, similiar habits, similiar interests, synchronisation (which is known to be something common between two people who have been around each other a lot). You will see how much attention they pay to each other despite being 5-6 people apart, will see how they complete each otherās sentences and react to each otherās jokes: Chanyeol mostly loses it as soon as Baekhyun opens his mouth and Baekhyun - who laughs a lot but seldomly āloses itā - falls to the ground because of Chanyeol as seen recently before the dream concert. Do you understand what I am trying to say? There is so much intimacy between them, which, in my opinion, is on a level that only people in an established relationship could share. āEstablishedā does not have to mean āromanticā of course. But it means that what these two people share is āsolidā, not necessarily āflawlessā but solid nevertheless. I just cannot imagine that two people with anĀ unsure and complicated relationship could share that much intimacy. There would be much more awkwardness on- and off-stage. Chanbaek, however, seem to be pretty comfortable with each other off-stage while there is a noticeable awkwardness/ tensionĀ (though it has gotten better compared to before - especially B is more relaxed!) with each other on-stage and generally everywhere where they are not among themselves.Ā I think both Chanyeol and Baekhyun are really private people despite being known for beingĀ out-going, social and talkative. Ah, I am rambling, sorry haha! Anyway, I must admit that my opinion on CBĀ changes a lotĀ but one thing I am sure of is that their relationship is established, intimate, private and just special (āspecialā as in ādifferent from the relationships with the other membersā) and that they have long surpassed this ācrush stageā/ ādenial stageā. I am not good with timelines but my guess is that their relationship has āblossomedā between Overdose- and CMB-era. I think they have always had a good relationship but they definitely got closer during that time. How close? I cannot answer you that. But I can tell you that their behaviour towards each other always give off such a natural vibe, as if they are used to doing it ā¦ or maybe thatās just me, idk haha :ā) This is my answer on CBās relationship and I donāt think it will ever change, no matter what might happen in the future. The only thing that does change from time to time is my Interpretation of this āestablished relationshipā. There are times when I lean more towardsĀ "real soulmates" and other times when I actuallyĀ lean towards āromantic relationshipā ( call me delusional, but this isĀ a fact ) like I do at the moment for exampleĀ :ā) But this is all subjective of course and my thoughts are only speculations. Now that I think about it I have no idea why I said they were very complicated XD youāre right, they might be past the overly complicated relationship thing you see in korean dramas, but to me what makes itĀ ācomplicatedā is that I feel they are not yet in a romantic relationship (in my delulu mind they like each other *lolz*) but they are not just a friendship, thatās why I think itāsĀ ācomplicated. But you know me, I like making things complicated cuz itās more interesting XD
