 After the war, the Ministry was faced with the difficult task of picking up and putting back together the pieces of wizarding society. It was clear, now more than ever, they needed a true, effective leader. Kingsley Shacklebolt was elected as the Acting Minister for Magic. He has proved his commanding stature, leading everyone from out of post-war destruction, through a complete, social reform. Kingsley’s personal values and beliefs for equality and fairness have become his own, radical agenda. The Ministry has already taken action, shutting down corrupt businesses, and weeding out the out-dated notion of blood supremacy and prejudices of social class. The majority Death Eaters attempted to flee; many were captured and put on trial for their heinous crimes against the wizarding community. With the support of the Ministry, Hogwarts has been reopened as the beloved school is has been known as for centuries, with a few important differences.

The Ministry has raised the standard requirements for many offices and positions. New graduates must work harder to meet the qualities of employment in the Ministry, including achieving higher results on their NEWTs. Everyone in Harry Potter’s year has been strongly recommended to return to finish their education as 8th years. But they aren’t the only ones making their return. With this new Act on Ministry Employment Requirements, Kingsley has enacted a new program, working directly with alumni graduates of Hogwarts who now have to obtain an extra educational requirement. Returning graduates such as Katie Bell, Cho Chang, and Cormac McLaggen entered this internship program; they are required to divide their time between studying and living at Hogwarts and part-time interning at the Ministry.

Now, as the new term starts in the beginning of October, things are slowly on their way to feel normal again. Headmistress McGonagall believes it’s her duty to be supportive of these unusual, new curriculums between 8th years and Already-graduated students. It’s a post-war Shacklebolt-society and all the students are in the same boat of this new experience and fresh start. Despite judgement and prejudice, many Slytherin students have made the decision to return and finish their educations as well. This wouldn’t be possible without Slughorn’s hand at providing a support system. As the Ministry hasn’t announced any official statements about the next round of trials, several students have been anxiously listening about their families and themselves, as many of the students who fought on or supported Voldemort’s side in the war returned as a way to hide under the radar.

Every student at Hogwarts knows that they walk on ashes every day. No one can forget the war that was fought on these hallowed grounds. No one has completely healed. Some will never heal.

ANNOUNCEMENT: CLOSING

It brings us great sadness that we will officially be closing down the role-play into an indefinite hiatus. 

As the rest of you, all of us admins have been suffering from a collection of things; busy schedules, unending shifts at work, and writer’s block. In the end, these things are unavoidable and makes running an role-play group like a part-time job that we all cannot continue doing. When it comes down to it, a rpg works as a machine. If all the moving parts aren’t working correctly, you can’t move forward or get the product everyone wants. At this point, we feel that the machine of our role-play isn’t functioning coherently and doesn’t have a simple solution. 

With this in mind, we do hope to one day open back up within the next year. Summer schedules are the busiest for those in the work forces in college and as graduates, so reviving the group as of right now is improbable for all of us. But, in the future, we hope that schedules will slow down and we’ll be able to make the dream of this role-play a reality and a priority once again.

We’ve got a few females we would like to see. I know our Elena and Caroline would be ecstatic to see a Bonnie Bennett. On the Teen Wolf side of things, we’d love to see a Kira Yukimura. And, for a fandom we don’t have yet, it’d be great to see a Buffy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

MONORAILS + SHUTTLES A monorail also operates throughout all five districts. The Kelemen Quarter is the Headquarters Stop, and has the most convenient commute around the city of all the other districts. The Kelemen Quarter also offers four separate shuttles between it's Headquarters and each of the other four districts. For instance, someone living in the Kitsune District that works in the Kelemen Quarter has a shuttle available to them that goes directly between the two districts. Just as the Red Light, Clarion and Fifth Area all have as well. However, a travel from Clarion Loess to the Kitsune District would not have that convenience available to them. All riders must pay a small fee before boarding the monorail. There is only one station per district.

MAGICALLY POWERED MOPEDS A low-power, motorized bicycle that exclusively seats two max. In addition, the mopeds are designed with storage space under the rear seat, and some may even provide saddle-bags. There is only one brand available in the City of Darkness, but comes in two forms of power options: Automatic or Manual. The Automatic is battery powered by kitsune's magic, which also means that it's tracked by the government's GPS. Renting out the manual moped means a little more privacy, for a better price. The only catch is, the manual must be powered by a witch/or any magical being's magic. However, the manual is less likely to last as long because it generates a dependency on the magical user. For example, if the driver were physically or mentally unfit, or even tired, the machine will not run smoothly. There is only one Authorized Rental Business per district. Renting from the Kelemen and Clarion Loess is much more strict with the recordkeeping of each person's personal documentation for their every rental, and how long. The Kitsune District's corrupt system has both their law-enforcing front, and their underground game of illegally owned mopeds. You have to know the right people to know where to go, as this isn't a door open to just anyone. Those looking to rent and remain 'off the grid' may rent at a high price to retain privacy.

Character’s Age: 359 - The body he possesses is 50

Headcanon:

-  The insincerity, abandonment, and deceit that he was born into, lived and died with in his human life wrecked him in ways that followed him into Hell and back out of it. It still affects his business tactics, deal making, and motivations.

- Because of his mother’s greed, Fergus’s fate was sealed the very day she offered him up in exchange for power; it was only the way that he got to his final destination that was left up to chance - chance being a drunken deal for three inches and a ten year time limit.

- Crowley fought hard to be in good standing with Lilith, and that position brought endless opportunities to advance his skill sets; everything from learning Enochian from and apprenticing under the demon Alastair, to being taught how to “rewire” a celestial being from the angel Naomi.

Species: Demon; Crossroads/Red-Eyed

Written Bio: The world had been broken and precariously and incorrectly repaired over and over again; Heaven had been locked and Hell was all but bled dry. God, angels, man, and demons no longer feared each other, but squabbled like small children on the playground.  There was no respect between species; no loyalties, no tactical thinking. Things were utterly dismal with no sign of change coming any time soon; the state of the world having been on a steady down-slope since the first time Lucifer had been thrown back into the cage.

And so, when the sun was being destroyed and God was going to be no more, Crowley was just about ready to sit back and simply let it happen. He was tired of what everything had become, and decided that it very well could be better this way: the end of everything. He had made peace with it. He sat and watched the sun slowly die surrounded by friend and foe, and simply waited for the dark.

But it never came. Dean Winchester succeeded. The world was restored. Everything was beginning to look up again; all the signs pointing to what now passed as normality. It seemed to be over so quickly; Dean was assumed dead, Sam and Castiel returned to Kansas, and Crowley was left at the abandoned bar with his mother.

It wasn’t but seconds after the calm had set in, that Crowley felt a tug that one could only describe as utterly agonizing. He was brought to the ground by invisible flames that cracked his skin and licked at the very fiber of his being, building exponentially as the tug intensified to a tearing, shredding pull that lasted for only a few moments as he was ripped through the dimensional planes before everything came to a screeching halt.

Jobs Claim: Crowley would be immediately drawn to the Red Light District, finding a managerial job in a higher end clothing store and working as a personal tailor to those who had the means to afford it.

This is a quick update for the week!

That didn't actually answer the question. You don't have to publish this, but these things should be addressed soon: Are appliances allowed? How are ovens/stoves run? Coffee makers? What about industry? You have construction workers, but there needs to be excavation equipment. Could the government control that and lend it to construction companies? What about where lumber comes from? Concrete? None of these things work without addressing the issue of electricity in the Dark Dimension. (cont.)

Hey! Sorry for the confusion. You could totally send this to us in private and we will surely answer this on the FAQ, along with the others. There are 2 main options here. It is mentioned in our FAQ I believe that yes, there is electricity and all this stuff being powered by it, but it’s KITSUNE’S ELECTRICITY, aka generated by actual government workers actual powers so that they can keep a surveillance that way. With the government officials kitsune electricity powering the entire city, it makes it easier for them to tap into other magical energies and monitor over any spells casted or any form of magic that is used in the City of Darkness. As for certain appliances, most of them can be powered by kitsune electricity, or, you have the option (those who have magic) to use your character’s own magical energy to power the appliances. The material in the Construction zone are mainly imported from other hemispheres within Dark Dimension, as the City of Darkness is only one location inside the Dark Dimension (there are other unnamed places), and also portals to spots in the human world where some officials such as humans are assigned these forms of jobs.

p.s. Anyone who has any questions about worldbuilding can just come to me on the Stefan Salvatore account. I’m basically the worldbuilding admin, and these other two are the main admins with all the other important stuff so this is my jam, and never hesitate to come to me off anon. I’ll surely clarify this info on the worldbuilding page if it wasn’t already.
