He scooped Elliot up into his arms, spinning him around a little before happily pressing kisses to both of his cheeks.

“I haven’t gotten to hold you in a while. How’s my pookie wookie bear doing?”

"Oh god... Don't call me that!" -> He giggles and hugs onto his boyfriend tightly, pressing a lovingly little kiss onto the gambler's nose. "I'm okay... A-As okay as I can be here. How about you? Are you okay?"

"Not really... Been too busy missing and worrying about my Elliot-pookie to be alright, haha!"

He rests his head on Elliot's shoulder, humming a small tune.

"Chancey..." -> He cups the sentinel's cheek and kissed his forehead softly, a gentle smile spreading across his face. "Don't make me baby you because you're not taking care of yourself. You're important too, okay?"

“Ugh… Promise I will from now on, yeah? I just can’t help but worry about you…”

He smiled back at Elliot- A genuine smile that reflected how he felt, albeit it was small.

“Though I wouldn’t mind having you baby me, hehe.”

"Of course you wouldn't... You just really like my attention, don't you?" -> He pulls his hands back briefly before cupping his boyfriend's face, taking a moment to just stare at him. "I-I like when you smile... I-I think this one's my favorite, hehe."

“Of course I do… Who wouldn’t enjoy talking to our favorite delivery boy? You don’t get paid enough to deal with all of us, really.”

A visible blush spread across his cheeks. Hearing that someone enjoyed seeing more genuine parts of him meant quite the deal to Chance!

“Being able to see your smile every day is too great of an honor for me, Ellie.”

-> Elliot blushed darkly at that and giggled, pressing another kiss onto his boyfriend's lips.

"Come on... Why don't we go up to our room, yeah? I like having alone time with you..."

They turned their head to kiss Elliot’s cheek, chuckling a little.

“Of course, babe. Can’t keep my lucky charm waiting!”

Still holding Elliot, he turned away, beginning to ascend the stairs leading to their room.

"I'd wait as long as I needed to for you, Chancey." -> He holds onto his boyfriend tightly, resting his head on the other's shoulder. The moment the pair entered the room the support tried to press himself closer to his partner. "Mine..."

They carried Elliot to their bed and sat down on the side of it, momentarily pulling back to kiss the side of his head.

“I’d do the same for you, my lucky charm. Now where were we?”

-> Elliot giggles and cuddles up close to his boyfriend's side, pressing a little kiss onto his cheek with a smile. "I think we were at the part of loving on each other... Maybe some cuddles too, yeah?"

They almost swore they recognized that chill.

It had been a while, hadn’t it? Days had lapsed into weeks since they’d been here, and they had begun to forget the lingering cold that formed around iTrapped whenever he was around. But it had returned now, for some reason. iTrapped couldn’t possibly be here, could he?

What had happened to him for him to end up here, alongside him, he wondered? If he thought he’d been down on his luck when he first arrived, he was even more doomed now.

-> The gentle crunching of dried grass could be heard as someone moved forward, that icy chill getting stronger and stronger before a voice called out. "Of course... It's you." -> Oh god. That was him. It was Itrapped, pale and shimmery blue blade held within one of his hands.

“iTrapped.”

He addressed the other by name, crossing his arms and tapping his shoe against the ground. Before, he’d always almost exclusively refer to iTrapped by “Traps”- Though now that “that” had happened, he saw no reason to be close to the other.

“What happened to you then?”

He rolled his singular eye behind his glasses. Ugh… It really was him. What a buzzkill.

"You ask me that as if I know... I was just milling about that casino of yours before everything went dark..." -> He brings his sword up, lightly running his frostbitten fingers over the blade. "I guess I really CAN'T escape you, now can I, Chancey boy?"

He gave an even bigger roll of his eye. Fate really loved to pull pranks on him, didn’t it?

“I suppose I can’t either. Welcome to purgatory, Trapped. You’re rather late to the party, you know?”

He said sarcastically, unfolding his arms and gesturing to the environment around them.

"Purgatory? I thought I was already in that anytime I had to spend my precious time with you at that casino of yours... At least the food and drinks were good." -> He sheathes his sword and steps closer, a smirk playing on his face. "Didn't know you could get a boyfriend, Chance... He's a real cute one too. Elliot, right? Such a cute boy he is..."

He stepped back, pulling out his revolver and cocking it as a warning signal.

“Say, Trapped… I’ll have to agree with you on that one. Elliot is rather cute. To be frank, much more attractive than you could ever dream of being.”

Even as he faced his nemesis, the mere mention of Elliot sent butterflies bouncing off the walls of his stomach.

“Not to mention he’s all mine as well! I really must thank you, iTrapped… you did help me bag the most beautiful boy in the world, after all.”

"I had a nice little conversation with him too... Heard he's a healer, keeping you and the others alive, right? He looks like such a hard working man too!" "I don't know he decided you're right for him... You didn't have to work a dine, didn't you? Just like I didn't!" -> He brings a hand up and chuckles, covering the lower part of his face. "I don't expect this relationship to last long... He's so cute. Maybe I could snatch him for myself when he leaves you."

He stared at iTrapped for about a minute or so before bursting into laughter.

“I had a feeling you were going to go for him- But I wasn’t aware you’d be daft enough to speak it out loud! Oh, I feel sorry for your poor, overinflated ego, Trapped- Dear me… Have you ever considered becoming a comedian?”

He slapped his knee for emphasis, uncocking his revolver and cackling at the mere thought. Elliot falling head over heels for iTrapped of all people? It was funnier than Doombringer finding love.

“Ahh… What a real kneeslapper… He is very cute, Trapped, However, as the saying goes: finders keepers, losers weepers.”

He folded his arms behind his back, leaning towards the other.

“I must ask you properly this time, iTrapped. What makes you so sure that you’re more qualified than I am? That Elliot’ll come running straight into your rich boy arms with your shoes from last season in the hypothetical situation we break up?”

"Because boys like him are foolish... I've already taken a read on him. He'll come crawling to anyone who gives him attention, who offers him warmth... Warmth, safety, a place where he can be himself... And do you wanna know how I noticed that?" -> He grabs the gambler's tie and grins just a little more, those piercing blue eyes of his sparkling a little. "Because I did that to you all of those years ago. Because mommy and daddy couldn't that for you, right? So you came to me, your best friend... I gave you warmth, safety, a place to feel like yourself, right?" "I'll do the same to him. A pretty boy like him only deserves the best. Better than what you could give him."

“All you did was mooch off of my success… And let’s not forget the amount of times you had to get me to bail you out of your… failed clusterfucks, no? I love him for the sake of loving him. He won’t need a trapdoor to hell from you, because he already has people who’ll give him that exact thing you promise so phonily.”

"At least my parents actually loved me, Chance. My mother and father ADORED me while yours just... Knew you existed."

"Denial truly is a river in Egypt, isn't it? Keep on lying to yourself all you want, Trapped! He would recoil at even thinking about having to come in contact with you."

They cackled in his face, not fighting back against the blade. Even whilst close to potential death- They weren't going to stand down against him.

"How dare you suggest you think you could be a better match? Are you thinking before you speak, Trapped, or are you just pulling words out of your ass now? I think this might rank as one of the Top 10 most audacious things you've ever attempted. I wonder if you'll fail again, just like the other 9 times."

"Try your best, Trapped. Let's see how this turns out. If you believe hard enough, maybe this time it won't turn out like one of your many financial failures."

They paused for emphasis, smiling at iTrapped with the bitchiest smirk they could muster up.

"On second thought... Perhaps you shouldn't try. Keep your lips permanently zipped for once or else you'll embarrass yourself and prove me right!"

"And confidence is a killer, Chancey boy..." -> He moved his sword down, pressing the tip of it right up against where Chance's heart would've been, a small giggle escaping from his lips. "I wonder how Elliot would react knowing just ALL of the people you killed because of your little games of chance, your little roulette battles. I'd be watching, sitting with Eller and Caleb as people blasted their brains out! Just to get a chance to beat you!" "I bet he'd be scared of you if he knew the body count you held... Me? I don't really have one if you ask me. I'm clean, spotless. While you're stained in the blood of innocent people who struggled." "Maybe it would be best if I just took him from you... I worry your reckless, greedy behavior will get him killed! Such an innocent, cute looking boy..."

With that, they sucked and purposely spat in the other's face.

He was unfazed. "Oh Chancey... I've already taken so much from you. And you couldn't do a thing about it. People fear exploiters like me, no one really helped you because they knew what I could do. You're lucky I didn't have any interest in taking your casino while you've been gone... I like that place just a little too much for me to destroy it." "But... You're boring me now, Chancey boy. You're a lot more tolerable when you're too busy with your games of chance and death, seven drinks down. Why don't you go run off to the little red rose I'll pluck from you?"

It had been a while, hadn’t it? Days had lapsed into weeks since they’d been here, and they had begun to forget the lingering cold that formed around iTrapped whenever he was around. But it had returned now, for some reason. iTrapped couldn’t possibly be here, could he?

What had happened to him for him to end up here, alongside him, he wondered? If he thought he’d been down on his luck when he first arrived, he was even more doomed now.
