Oh. A thief. A bit better and worse than what she was anticipating, she had to admit. But perhaps if that was all, she could get to her brother instead of dealing with this. Sylvia raised an eyebrow, vaguely annoyed, turning her head slightly.

“You mean to tell me you brought me all the way out here to steal from me? What horrible manners…”

No answer was  given.  He  sighed  silenty,  slowly  taking his Chandelure’s Pokéball  from  his  belt.  So she thought he   was   there   to  steal  from  her?  Understable,  though disappointing,  kinda stupid as well. Didn’t she know about the murders? What about the warning about walking alone at night? But the worst thing of that was that she  accepted his company.

As Garnet took Chandelure out from his Pokéball, he spoke again with his apathetic voice.

“It’s a shame you don’t want to let your Pokémon live.   That’s, for sure, more cruel and unfair than what I’m   going to do.”

Pause. “You know I’d much rather know now?”

“Now...?”

And suddenly,  Garnet decided  to stop his walking as he slightly glanced around.  No one seemed to be near,  not even the Bug Catchers that seemed  to  haunt  the  forest even at night. Looking at her with his cold eyes he spoke, he hold out his hand towards her.

“I need your most powerful Pokémon.”

“Existence? Are you talking about Flare existing?” He wasn’t surprised in the least bit that Team Flare had enemies. “You understand that not all of its members are corrupted by Lysandre’s ideals.”

Garnet  stared at the raven man with  an  indifferent  expression as  he  heard  his  words.  Not  all  of  them?  What  a   huge  lie. His father told him that was a huge lie- all team members were always brainwashed by their superiors. Always.

Garnet knew it, because Umbra Admins didn’t have  guts  to  put a hand on him. And saw how other members and grunts suffered instead of him. Their screams  were  irresistible  symphonies  to his ears. 

But he would play with the professor’s answer a bit. Garnet began mumbling, but soon he raised his voice again.

“Then, you aren’t “corrupted”, right...?

 ...Are you really sure about that?”

“Is there a reason behind your words? I have done nothing to you.” Sycamore sighed a bit and shook his head. As far as he remembered he had never met the other before in his life. What was with this anger towards him about? He didn’t even participate in a lot of what Team Flare did even.

The man had a point. It was true, he did nothing to the younger one. He had the right to complain, ask for reasons, ignore Garnet or call the police. But the Trainer wasn’t going to let that  happen.  He  was having too much fun pestering the other.  He  wanted  reasons?  He would get them. 

 “That’s true, Flare scum. You did nothing to me.   Except for something pretty important...”

“...Your own existence. And...I’m not talking only about you.”

“Apparently someone forgot to teach you respect.” The man let out huff.

Garnet glanced at the man, raising an eyebrow as he kept talking, attacking the other verbally trying to hurt. It had been a long while without doing this.  He  really, really missed it.

“They taught me how to respect humans, not garbage.”
