Emmie had clammed down on the words rising on her throat afterwards, well aware that she definitely did cross a line, as proven by the other’s expression. This was supposed to be just a light inquiry around the place…She really did mess up this time. When this was over and done with, she was going to the nearest pokecenter and not coming out from the place for a week.
Well, not exactly a week, because she had to move on- but around two days maximum, maybe. It depended on whether she could write her poetry or not at that period. Emmie glanced at the girl, and was glad to find that she seemed a bit more calmed down now.
On the other hand, she wasn’t glad to hear that at all. “…Oh. Ah-that’s-” Who would do that? Kill pokemon and trainer for their type? Even now, would some blissful young beginner find themselves with a slit throat and a corpse because he chose the wrong starter type? Emmie was certain her horror at the fact was showing, but she was not in the presence of mind to control it.
Suddenly, the streets seemed to have eyes on their own. Emmie swallowed, and shoved down the rising vile in her throat. “Well, Thank you for telling me that- I’ll be sure to be more careful.” Than, on a impulse-
“…Can I buy you a coffee for your trouble?”
The coffee was offered to the younger, and Enne's expression changed
almost radically. A coffee? She smiled happily. She liked the idea,
and it had been a long time without feeling the taste of coffee,
especially her favorite type.
Perhaps she could ask the other about buying that one instead of a
cheap and "quick to do" one. Though it would be a little egoist from her.
A Freshly Brewed Coffee would cost around 175 Poké in a tall cup,
while Enne's favorite, Caramel Macchiato, would cost around 465
Poké. That's near the triple.
"Ah, thanks! Though I'd like to pay the money back to you
in a few days, since I don't have any money right now..."
But she really needed some beverage or food after the little
tension in her head. Stimulating or not.
