I don't like that "I could do that" is a common argument against art. "But you didn't" is a good response but I think it would be better if it was "Then congratulations, you can also be an artist" because instead of sending out the message that this person's idea for an artwork is what's superior I would much rather send out the message that skill isn't required to make something beautiful and everyone finds beauty and appeal in different things and that's okay, good even.
