Just a quick reminder on how I got here and just how long I've been on this particular spiritual path and belief system:
The Official Origin Timeline of the Chantry Tradition™

Note: Gaps in the timeline reflect periods of offline life, including the births of my children and times without consistent internet access.
Behind these paths is a real, living, breathing human being. This timeline documents my 25‑year journey as a Witch and practitioner of Dragon Magick, including the creation of Draconic Wicca, The Draconic Path, the Chantry Tradition™, the Coffee Time series, the launch of my YouTube channel, and the evolution of both the Dragon FireRose persona and TheGuardian1031 creator identity.
• Guardian of The Draconic Path™, est 2025 – Protection, and preservation of the original teachings, structure, and ethical framework of The Draconic Path.
• Guardian of Draconic Wicca™, est 2025 – Protection and clarification of the original Draconic Wiccan origins, no matter how mysterious they may be.
• These titles reflect functional responsibility and protection of origins, not hierarchical authority over individual practitioners.
1988 — Incarnation & Foundations
• The beginning of my journey into this world, laying the groundwork for a lifelong path in witchcraft, draconic energy work, and spiritual teaching.
2001 — The Calling Awakens
• At age 12, I openly stated my desire to become a Witch.
• This marked the spark that ignited a dedicated path of magical practice, spiritual development, and early study of Dragon Magick.
2002 — First Contact with My Guardian Dragon
• Around the time I turned 14 years old later in 2002, I experienced my first conscious meeting with my Guardian Dragon after a traumatic event that happened earlier in the year on May 7, 2002.
• This encounter occurred before I had any knowledge that Dragon Magick existed as a named practice or spiritual system.
• At the time, I had no framework, terminology, or external influence to contextualize the experience.
• Only years later, through study and lived practice, did I recognize this event as the beginning of my lifelong Guardian relationship and draconic path.
2002–2011 — Guardian Relationship Development
• Throughout this period, I continued building an ongoing, personal relationship with my Guardian Dragon.
• Communication developed organically rather than through formal systems or instruction.
• A recurring internal visual cue (a flash of green in my mind) became a consistent signal of his presence. When this occurred, I would consciously engage in conversation, strengthening recognition, trust, and continuity of contact.
• These years formed the experiential foundation that later informed my structured work in Draconic Wicca and The Draconic Path.
• The green flash is consistent with his green scales due to my Guardian being an Earth Dragon.
2004 — Discovery of Dragon Magick
• At age 15, I discovered and purchased Dancing with Dragons by D.J. Conway at a store that was named The Black Cat Shoppe (2004 – 2006).
• This marked the first time I learned that Dragon Magick existed as a formally named and published practice.
• The material provided language and partial structure for experiences I had already been having since 2002.
• While influential as a point of reference, the book did not fully align with my lived Guardian experiences, prompting continued exploration, experimentation, and independent development.
2005 — Birth of the Dragon FireRose Persona
• Establishment of Dragon FireRose as my creative and mystical witch identity on my LiveJournal blog.
• This identity later served as the conceptual foundation for all subsequent systems and teachings.
2007 — Further Study of Published Dragon Magick
• Upon its publication in 2007, I purchased and studied Mystical Dragon Magick by D.J. Conway.
• This work expanded on existing Dragon Magick concepts and provided additional reference material during my ongoing Guardian relationship development.
• While informative, the material again did not fully reflect my lived experiences with my Guardian Dragon, reinforcing the need for independent practice and personal methodology.
2008 — Creation of TheGuardian1031
• Formation of TheGuardian1031 as my public‑facing creator identity.
• Later used across YouTube, blogs, and online platforms.
• Became the primary hub for sharing witchcraft teachings, Dragon Magick insights, and draconic spiritual practice.
• Over time, established recognition and credibility across multiple platforms.
2011 — YouTube Channel Launch (Early 2011)
• Launch of my YouTube channel under the name TheGuardian1031.
• Early videos focused on general witchcraft and Wiccan topics, and personal reflections.
• These uploads serve as publicly timestamped documentation of original creative and spiritual work.
Creation of Draconic Wicca (Mid‑2011)
• After years of Wiccan practice and multiple unsuccessful teenage attempts at Dragon Magick, I consciously committed to integrating the two.
• June 2011: Unsatisfied with the amount of Wicca incorporated with Dragon Magick in Conway’s books and desiring more Wicca within the combination of practice, I conducted research to determine whether Draconic Wicca existed as a named path. I found no existing system combining Wiccan structure with Dragon Magick as envisioned.
• Community feedback suggested Wicca and Dragon Magick were mutually exclusive leading me to reject this limitation, and Draconic Wicca was born as an original system to suit my own personal preferences.
• August 18, 2011: Published my first public video explicitly naming and introducing Draconic Wicca — “My New Path: Draconic Wicca.”
• This marked the beginning of a long and transformative journey filled with growth, mistakes, lessons, friendships (human and magickal), and deepening Guardian connections.
2011 – 2013 — Becoming the Catalyst for the Modern Draconic / Dragon Magick Community
• By publicly speaking about Dragon Magick and Draconic practice on YouTube at a time when such topics were largely dismissed, fragmented, or discouraged, I unintentionally became a catalyst for the modern online Draconic and Dragon Magick community.
• My willingness to speak openly, experiment publicly, and document both successes and failures created a visible reference point others later drew from.
• Many later creators, systems, and community leaders emerged only after this material was made public and accessible.
• While others went on to gain popularity or prominence, the initial opening of space for modern Draconic discourse traces back to my early public work.
2012 — Community Formation & Expansion
The Dragon’s Den & Early Community Work (Early–Mid 2012)
• March 26, 2012: Created a group for those interested in learning Draconic Wicca together and growing as individuals.
• July 15, 2012: Publicly announced The Dragon’s Den in a video titled “The Dragon’s Den.”
• The group later became hidden and private over time.
• During this period, maintained a personal WordPress site (jesschantry.com) documenting my spiritual journey.
• The domain later expired and became inaccessible due to circumstances beyond my control.
• July 20, 2012: Created the Coffee Time series where I share my thoughts over a cup of coffee with my viewers.
• Known for my opening line, "Grab your coffee, grab your drink, grab whatever it is that you wish to drink because we're going to have a chat."
Dragon of Shadows WordPress (August 2012)
• August 16, 2012: Launched a new WordPress site fully under my control: Dragon of Shadows, under the username The Draconic Witch.
2012–2013 — Founded The Draconic Path (Late 2012)
• Expansion of Draconic Wicca into The Draconic Path, a broader, structured system, integrating Dragon Magick across multiple spiritual traditions while maintaining methodological consistency.
• Original posts, videos, and archived materials from 2012 publicly document this expansion.
• October 13, 2012: Published “Coffee Time!!!: The Draconic Path,” marking the public introduction of the path by name.
• December 23, 2012: Published “The Draconic Path: Contact.”
• January 25, 2013: Published “The Draconic Path: Ritual.”
• February 12, 2013: Published “The Draconic Path: Etiquette.”
• December 1, 2013: Another individual who goes by Azura Dragonfaether (previously known as Dragonfeather369), who later went onto claim in 2025 that she had coined Draconic Wicca, openly stated within her own video, "as you guys know I’ve been getting into Draconic Wicca. Though, unfortunately, I really can’t find any good information online. If you guys know any, please let me know, but for now I’m waiting on a book so I can start learning…" This wording "getting into" and "so I can start learning" conflicts with any claim Azura has made to coining or founding Draconic Wicca as it clearly shows that the "coined term" had already existed.
January 14, 2015: Another individual who goes by Azura Dragonfaether left a comment (previously known as Dragonfeather369) under one of my, TheGuardian1031, video acknowledging my influence: “All positive my friend. You helped me find the Draconic Path and I only wish to give you credit where I think it’s due. Again, I love your channel. :) ~DragonFeather”. Azura deleted this comment May 2025. However, TheGuardian1031 still has evidence of this within her email from YouTube services.
February 18, 2016: Another individual who goes by Azura Dragonfaether (previously known as Dragonfeather369) responded to a YouTube message from me, TheGuardian1031, to which Azura stated: “I’ve watched your videos before I really knew much about The Draconic Path.” TheGuardian1031 still has evidence of this within her email from YouTube services.
2016–2020 — Intermittent Public Work & Private Teaching
• November 2, 2016: Attempted a live stream titled “The Sacred Circle – Jessica (The Draconic Path)” with Cricketsong. Video later removed due to technical issues; proof of existence remains in email records.
• June 2019: Guided a fellow YouTuber through meeting her Guardian for the first time. Guidance was consensual and documented in an unlisted video on her channel (identity withheld for privacy).
• July 4, 2020: Attempted to form a probationary group called The Baby Dragon’s Den. The project was halted due to burnout caused by premature expansion without consent.
• September 25, 2020: Re‑recorded an interview with Cricketsong titled “Becoming Witch: The Interviews – Jess.”
2025 — Protection, Documentation & the Chantry Tradition™
• As the modern Draconic and Dragon Magick community expanded, visibility and popularity began to be mistaken for authorship.
• Influence gained after the fact does not equate to origin.
• The foundational concepts, language, and structural approaches that shaped contemporary Draconic discourse were already publicly documented in my work years prior.
• Later prominence by others occurred because the space had been opened, not because it was created by them.
• This clarification exists to distinguish historical origin from subsequent amplification, reinterpretation, or regurgitation.
Withdrawal to Protected Spaces
• May 7, 2025: Created a private YouTube group titled The Vault following my video “This is my LAST Public Video…”.
• May 19, 2025: Posted an unlisted Vault video clarifying The Draconic Path. Unauthorized access prompted withdrawal from public discussion.
Documentation & Legal Distinction
• September 22, 2025: Published “The Draconic Path: Origins of an Online Persona.”
• September 29, 2025: Released a revised edition via Amazon Kindle and Kindle Unlimited.
Formal Naming of the Chantry Tradition™
• October 22, 2025: Renamed The Draconic Path to The Draconic Path (Chantry Tradition)™.
• October 23, 2025: Renamed Draconic Wicca to Draconic Wicca (Chantry Tradition)™.
• October 25, 2025: Launched the Chantry Tradition™ WordPress.
2026 — Community Representation Designation
• January 12, 2026: Jessica Chantry, author and originator of Draconic Wicca and The Draconic Path, and Catalyst for the modern online Draconic community that emerged around her work beginning in 2011, formally designated Merlyn (Alchemy.of.Spirit) as the public-facing representative of that community.
• Chantry retains full authorship of Draconic Wicca, The Draconic Path, and the Chantry Tradition, and continues to serve as Catalyst and archivist of her original systems and teachings.
• Merlyn independently built and currently operates the largest active Discord server, Dragon Academia (2024), dedicated to Dragon Magick and her founded path of Dragon Alchemy (2018), making her a fitting and earned choice for visible community representation.
• January 13, 2026: Chantry and Merlyn both signed an agreement in regards to their roles within the Draconic Community.
Thank you for taking the time to learn the documented origins of my versions of Draconic Wicca and The Draconic Path.
