RADICAL PROTESTANT (aka RADICAL REFORMIST) is a label that aims to represent those who feel as though the radqueer community needs to undergo a reformation for the sake of its members, to be more inclusive and safe for minorities and outsiders, and to remain whole as a community in general. it is seperate from radqueer, and you do not have to identify as radqueer to use it.

heavily inspired by the christian protestants and reformists, but not connected to christianity. the use of luther's rose is purely for aesthetic purposes and as a nod to the inspiration for the term.

so, what does that mean?

i and many of my friends have felt like this for a long time. it has gotten to the point where almost all of us agree that the current state of the radqueer community (a mess) causes us to not really want to identify with it at all. i have always referred to myself as adjacent, and while that makes sense to me and my friends, i wanted to coin something more specific to hopefully get my point across.

unfortunately for some, i am very stubborn and have very firm views. this term is not a catchall, even though i am aware there are many beings with differing opinions who want to reform the rqc. if you disagree with anything listed, feel free to coin your own movements inspired by mine!

radical protestants / reformists stand for:

sex education for beings of all ages, regardless of percieved mental capacity, including things like paraphilias and RACK (risk aware consensual kink.) in simpler terms, if theyre old enough to ask, theyre old enough to know without being shamed.

the destigmatization of kinks and fetishes (sexual and non-sexual) as regular, genuine topics of conversation and hobbies.

heightened awareness about abuse within the community, and creating safe spaces to find a support system.

open access to leftist literature (manifestos, zines, essays, etc.) and more encouragement to look into it.

reforming the education system, healthcare system, and all capitalist governments as a whole, as well as filling the gaps left by the current state of these things on our own within the community.

POLITICAL QUEERNESS!

we are against:

any sort of violation, or support of the violation of living or once-living beings.

bigotry of all kinds.

the refusal to spread awareness or do anything about non-consensual abusers.

platforming and "forgiving" non-consensual abusers.

getting into dynamics that you do not fully understand or know your way around without serious and thought-out boundaries and communication. (this is mostly referring to conabuse. the goal here is to keep others safe, not bar these types of relationships entirely.)
