Are you trying to find out if you're a therian or what you're theriotypes are? Well this might help!
Figuring out if you're a therian or not:
The main thing is just asking yourself if you're more animal or more human. To answer that I wrote down a list of why I thought I might be therian. Then I asked people around me about how they felt (To see what's normal and what isn't). pretty much every human doesn't really want to be an animal so that can be an easy way to know.
Finding you're theriotype:
Then I wrote down all of my experiences that are animal specific and started by looking up animals in habitats I felt connected to or with features I felt regularly in phantom shifts. I made a list of animals that fit both and narrowed it down further using behavior. Finally the last step was just testing a theriotype by saying I was it and just seeing how it felt. I did get it wrong at first (thought I was a red fox at first but I'm actually a snow leopard) but that's ok and kinda expected.
My experiences I listed out to compare to:
Snow Leopard (I just put cat-like thing originally)
-teeth and tail phantom shifts
-Urge to climb literally everything vaguely rocklike
-Love sleeping and can fall asleep anywhere anytime
-Hate being around others (being alone is better)
-can't sleep unless it's freezing cold (I have a lot of fans)
-Easily irritated but prefer to run away and hide
European Rabbit (I put small animal originally)
-I'd burrow with blankets when I was little (I still do)
-thump feet when frustrated
-Love running so I run whenever I can
-twitch my nose when trying to figure out something
-I felt really small during shifts
When I can't base it on behavior I'm mostly going on phantom shifts. Not really sure a better way.
Yutyrannus example experiences (originally under raptor)
-feel birdlike but not a bird
-urge to bend down and bite
-body position feels right
I never see anyone else share these experiences and why they are their theriotype so I wanted to share mine :)
I hope this helps someone
