Recent(ish) art roundup!
Spil is a goblin with a plan.
And that plan usually involves a certain amount of destruction.

Updated image of Moll, my Warhammer Fantasy 'witch-turned-wizard' and social disaster.
She's had a big design change caused by the plot - her hair turned grey/silver due to chaos magic, then she started wearing mostly white when she was taken in by the light wizards.
She was always intended to be accidentally creepy, now she's maybe more 'accidentally otherworldly'?
Still can't pass a Charm roll, though.
Illness means I haven't drawn anything in around 6 months, but I picked up my stylus yesterday.
Accidentally made a new Artfight reference image for Patience, my retired D&D rogue.
I'm going so slowly at the moment (still working on a trade I've been really looking forward to!) but this is my part of an art trade with Zw3ihanders over on Cara.
This is Edgar, the protagonist in their dark fantasy comic, having a very well-earned peaceful moment.
Process video for Bellis, my halfling barbarian!
(Level 12; I've been playing her since level 3. She has +5 strength, is frequently underestimated, and likes to grapple anything that moves.)
Meet Bellis! She's a halfling with a short temper and a big heart - and has been long overdue for new character art. Here she is, ready to travel to Karrnath to hunt a vampire.
Also pictured: Dara, an ancient chieftain who was magically transformed into a sentient double-bladed scimitar and is now emotionally bonded with my girl. Bellis' human partner (my friend's monk and anxious party healer, Mark) is not quite sure how he feels about Dara yet, but the three of them do somehow seem to work - despite Bellis taking psychic damage from the sword whenever she misses in combat...
She is done!
And a big improvement on her old character sheet art, which I drew a couple of years ago.
Process video for my latest picture (of @maud-lin's Callow) - there's probably not much interest for anyone else but I'm quite enjoying making these if only as a personal record.
The hands and weapon were drawn separately in case I wanted to move them/change the angles, and that's really obvious with just the lineart layer showing!
My part of an art trade with the lovely @maud-lin, of their awesome dragonborn, Callow. (Check out their picture of my artificer - I love it!)
I've never drawn a dragonborn before, so this was quite intimidating - but it's been a lot of fun!
Testing a "process" video for my latest picture (@dilfsnearyouart's Kreed)... my ancient tablet will start crying if I turn on CSP's timelapse function, but here is a quick lines/flats/render breakdown if anyone is interested!
My part of an art trade with @dilfsnearyouart - their D&D College of Swords Bard / Oath of Vengeance Paladin, Kreed Rossini.
He was so much fun to draw, I particularly loved his colour scheme as I don't tend to work in so many reds. Thank you so much for trusting me with him! ❤️
I'm still open to art trades - fire me a DM if you're interested!
Finally finished (after the original file corrupting, then Art Fight happening, then health issues making drawing slow and painful) my take on Alphonse Mucha's Pole Star. Sort of a study, sort of a DTIYS? Feel like she's come out a bit "Mucha, but make it Disney", which I might be okay with.
I could do more rendering, but I really want to move on so I'm calling her done (for now).
It's not looking like I'm going to get an interview for the job I applied for... so I'm pushing past the dread beast of anxiety and asking:
If I were to open a couple of slots for commissions this month or next (OC busts or ttrpg character sheet art etc), would anyone be at all interested?
Some recentish art below - these characters belong to @scarlett-draws, @nykenima, tematcha, @willowthearts, @doodlesofacleric and @not-a-very-good-dungeon-master.
Art Fight attack roundup!
Technically there is another day left but I don't think I have the time or energy to do any more.
This was my first time joining in, and I'm so glad I did. I had a rough target of 10 attacks (Miss! Oops) but I don't think this is too bad for a first attempt. And I'm possibly a bit more confident in drawing for others and stepping out of my comfort zone.
Am I developing a style? I don't know. But I think my art is better than a year ago - or at least it's quicker and more relaxed, which is also a plus.
No idea what I'm going to do now July is over... draw my own OCs? Start working on references for next year? Maybe tentatively think about commissions? I'd really love to contribute to a zine if I can manage to get accepted anywhere.

Art Fight attack for Tematcha - this is her beautiful pirate/witch character, Aurora.
Okay, remember when I said one of my "improving my art" aims for Art Fight was to work faster?
Oops.
This took longer than intended, but I was so in love with the character's rose-themed fairy design that I couldn't help it - and I think I'm pleased with the results.
This is Rosephine, a fey warlock familiar belonging to Soulaiir on Bluesky.
Edited to add: Tumblr has totally eaten the quality. Click the image if you want to see it properly :)
Ten days into Art Fight and I'm really enjoying it!
A bit fast-and-sketchy and I gave up before shading properly... but our sibling D&D group (the DM's other party, doing the same campaign as us) met up IRL for the first time in a while. So I had to recreate the photo they sent us with their characters!
The horned rabbit on the right is usually a 'warforged' fighter. Apparently there was an "unfortunate series of events".
