Uhhh something something Phil constantly wearing flowers and perfumes to cover the scent of death on his skin

I like the contrast of Phil looking very gentle and wearing light colors and speaking very softly while also being this bringer of Certain Death, with the blood of literal thousands on his hands. He presents himself as harmless because it makes enemies think they don’t need to run. He pretends he’s nothing but kind and honest when in actuality he’s actually rather cruel and manipulative, and he does have a bit of fun when he gets sent to go send a few doomed souls to the afterlife. Its like a demon wearing an angels face. He’s an “angel” alright. He appears so.

Now Technoblade being the exact opposite. Kind-hearted soul who is always wearing blood stained armor, red eyes staring down at you like its a threat, his sharp weapon always in hand, his voice always rough and harsh. He kills rather sparingly though, gives mercy more often than not. He makes himself appear like a danger so that trouble won’t come to him. He acts cold and distant but cares quite a lot, even for the random stranger. He will fight if he must. He will kill if he must. He’d rather not though. He’d much rather sit in the flowers and listen to the birds. Thats far less of a headache

Something very funny about technoblade having the appearance of a terrible omen of death and yet when he approaches he doesnt bring down his weapon onto the doomed he instead just turns around to the most pleasant looking happy guy youve ever seen and goes “can you please refrain from decapitating the people this time around”

Well technically he still is an omen of death at that point isnt he hes just not the one killing he just shows up with his buddy and then is like “oh yeah sorry he’s got his errands to run” while phil burns down a village behind him

Look i really enjoy the contrast of phil being death in the sense that he’s basically just an odd moving corpse and techno being the blood god and so in a sense also the god of life.

Techno being like unmistakably alive, like always kicking and fighting and refusing to lose a fight and always running warm and always having healing wounds and scars and always having the sounds of chat in his head, like the sound of thousands of talking souls still living and being, in his presence.

And then phil being the exact opposite of that. No heartbeat and no warmth to him and no true need to eat or sleep and he only walks around as he is because of a goddess’s leniency. And also his crows being utterly silent. Constantly lingering but never making any honest sounds. He’s the image and presence of death in so many ways and Techno is life. Or like. Living. The act of living. And surviving. Yup

someone pointed out that derek had to change the font + font size + line spacing on his death letter and this is KILLING ME. he was actively dying an excruciating death and he went Fuckkk.i need to chagne the line spacing on this

Thinking about concept of tommy actually being very a very dangerous opponent in battle but since he’s always trying to pick a fight with Technoblade of all people he seems entirely harmless because techno keeps doing the equivalent of swatting him like a fly

Tommy is face down in the dirt screaming while techno keeps saying “if you wish to defeat me then you must train for-“ “SHUT UPPP” and so everyone else thinks ah tommy isn’t all that in terms of fighting ability. Look at how he barely lasted a minute with technoblade!

Except no one else has ever lasted a minute in fighting Technoblade. Actually Tommy’s lasted the longest and thats with the fact that Techno favors him. Tommy can and will drag someone through the dirt, into their grave, in a fight. It’s just that he only wants to fight techno

my favoritest thing in hermitcraft fanfiction is when it takes place in a pseudo-minecraft fantasy realm but the hermits are still sometimes described with their nationalities. like okay this is a world where magic exists and you can respawn after you die and the entirety of reality sometimes gets new features added and new worlds can be created out of thin air, each with their own accompanying otherworldly pocket dimensions, and some people have special admin powers that allow them to alter the fabric of reality, and gods/cosmic horror monsters/a weird cult called the Watchers may or may not inhabit the spaces in between existence. also Canada exists. Canada exists here and we are not going to address it

One thing I see a lot of new mcyt fans not get is why Grian is always represented as a bird...

So here's all the reasons I remember of the top of my head.

The Grian avian trend started in season 6 when after starting as a elytra noob he quickly became one of if not the best flier of the smp.

Since season 6 he's had a secret identity called Poultry man which uses a chicken mask and eggs to commit pranks.

There's a clip of him dancing to a jukebox in sync with a bunch of parrots also dancing, It's really cute but also really started the Parrot hybrid Grian stuff.

Watchers have been a long time represented as biblically accurate angels so giving Grian wings became even more common when watcher lore started getting popular.

In season 7 he got the nickname of Pesky Bird for his use of parrots to transport crates and people like Doc still often call him by that name.

This man has an obsession with eggs. From Poultry man to the season 8 egg fixation to the season 9 egg hunt to his second Secret Life base to EGG to the egg he built for Gem's birthday a few days ago. Egg that Gem said Grian must have laid.

There's more I'm pretty sure but this is all I remember from memory.

Cant sleep due to probably asthma (mild and harmless but annoying) so im cursing you to think too hard about ctubbo.

They made him president at 16 and didnt understand why he didnt do it perfectly (there were no perfect options)

Does anyone ever think about how ctubbo never died permanently and he was one of the first members and he hung in there with 1 life for 2 seasons and almost every final death was someone important to him and he lost his best friend and his husband and his son and his brother and his country and he watched every destruction of lmanberg from the inside with his own eyes and he didn't cry or scream or monologue or have dramatic angst arcs or crash out or try to kill himself he sat there and was quiet and was the protector and the innocent one and Tommy's sidekick and he survived and he survived and he survived. Has anyone heard of this

This is a very specific scenario where Avery is in a sort of time loop and because of that he tries to save D3rlord from his demise time and time again yet he fails everytime. The first half of the video is basically his inner feelings visualized with his desperation and hopelessness growing stronger everytime D3rlord dies.

The last part is also another scenario within the same one, this time Avery gets a hunch to enter the other gate before the main one, just like D3rlord did in the original video. He explores the area and finds the chest that had the book with the merging spell (mind you D3rlord LEFT the book still in the chest, I checked the original video again and yes he did put it back)

Avery finds the page with the spell, to him even if he fails he can always try again anyway. So their confrontation happens again and he pulls out the book and recites the spell on the spot, D3rlord tries to stop him but it's too late and the king in yellow merges with Avery instead. I guess this could be a sort of introduction to a vessel Avery au, but this is just my version and I might make a design soon maybe I have an idea already

I need to talk about this distinction between d3rlord3 and Derek.

I need to talk about how d3rlord3 sounds way too fancy and thought-out to be a gametag used since childhood. TheMostMayo sounds like something a child would make and then use it until adulthood. d3rlord3 sounds too deliberate, like someone spent time creating a gametag that not only has an actual meaning behind it, but also sounds cool.

I need to talk about "d3r" in d3rlord3 is a starting syllable of his own name, and then how Derek's name means "ruler of the people", and how lord and ruler are synonyms, and how 3 is probably the year Derek was born.

I need to talk about d3rlord3 sticking to his title of "Lord" when defeating the King.

I need to talk about the gladiator/knight skin, despite d3rlord3 canonically being bad at pvp.

I need to talk about Derek saying his name to Avery before walking towards the final battle with the King.

I need to talk about fanarts where Derek's face is always hidden by a helmet, his body covered with armour, the gametag that he uses instead of his name. How before the name reveal, he was referred to only by D3r

I need to talk about Derek saying his name to Avery only after Avery called him d3rlord3 and only after he found a spell and made a decision on how exactly he will stop the King.

I need to talk about "I don't know why I decided to record myself. Well, I do know. I just didn't want to be forgotten."

Hey, guys, what if I defined myself only through the gametag that made me sound cooler than I was in real life, and what if, despite me keeping a brave face against an eldritch horror, in my final moments, I could not resist saying my name to at least someone, so that I won't be completely forgotten. So that something would be left after me.

So that the name on the grave would be Derek Hutchins and not d3rlord3
