Imagine finding out you have 90 minutes to tie up a love story that's developed over thousands of years. You create something beautifully in character and completely on point for the plot. You pay homage to the original writer's legacy in a fitting and poetic way and create an ending that not only shows the depth of two people's love for each other but the wider love they have for the thing that brought them together in the first place.

And then you go online to find the loudest outcry is that everyone hates it and "THEY DIDN'T EVEN KISS!"

I feel sorry for people who didn't get anything out of that stunning finale.

Guys...am I the only one who thought they reincarnated and their story got another chance in a kinder universe? Is it because I grew up with films and religious stories about reincarnation that has normalised it for me? I mean genuinely think it was a great ending. Their love for each other wasn't a secret. And yeah maybe they could've kissed in the goodbye scene but I interpreted as them being in so much pain that minimal contact is all that you can muster up....Come on people.

Three years, THREE YEARS we spent panicking about the Ineffable Divorce, coming up with increasingly angsty and depressed scenarios, and these two lovesick idiots were unable to stay separated for more than 10 seconds IN THE FUCKING TRAILER.

"Aziraphale has chosen Heaven over Crowley" "Crowley will be mad at Aziraphale"

Meanwhile Crowley is literally just waiting for his Angel to come back just so he can say "I told you so" and Aziraphale has literally been trying, the whole time, to build a world where they can be happy together without feeling guilty about what happens to humans. Both of them would drop everything at a moment's notice to be with the other if the other were in danger.

They are so pathetically in love it's EMBARRASSING.
