Freddie paused for a beat before answering. “Uh, being a mechnic would be good. That’s really the only talent I have, so why not use it, right?”
"I'm sure you have other talents, but I suppose so." he nodded.

Training | Jesse & Leo
Jesse arose in the morning and yawned. He got out of bed and walked over to his dresser. He pulled out a pair of black jeans, and then slid them on. He walked over to hiss closet and grabbed a green t-shirt, sliding it on before looking into the mirror he had hanging on his closet door. He moved his bangs back and opened his eyes wide then sighed.
His eyes were still mis-matched. Green and red, Jesse began to wonder if this was a permanent effect. He had to remember to start researching this. But he had to go to class today, it couldn't be avoided especially since it was a class he needed to pass. Combat and Target practice. "Oh what fun" thought Jesse sarcastically as he headed to class.
Jesse walked into class and looked around, the class was decently full for not starting yet. He wondered what they would be doing today, hopefully some fighting; something Jesse was good at.
"You could always be the cool kind of teacher?" Freddie suggested, his eyebrows raised lightly. "You know, the kind everyone likes because they don’t enforce many rules?"
"True, I could be." he said with a smile. He never had really considered it but he liked the idea. "What do you plan on being?" asked Jesse.
"Well, it’s a little hard to master something that just, uh… doesn’t happen. Or very rarely." Freddie replied hesitantly. "But, thanks, Jesse. That’s good advice! Maybe you could be a teacher here with that kind of talk."
"True, but you'll figure it out. I know it." he nodded then shrugged. "Maybe, authority figures and rules aren't really my forte. I take after my power in that way." he said.
"I highly doubt he’d hurt a fly on purpose, even if he hit one on accident he’d probably try to resuscitate it" Ripley laughed and tapped the eraser end of her pencil against her notebook. "I don’t think I’ve really spoken to her much but I know who she is….at least I think I do" she mused "Oh no. I’ll take genuine but you’re wrong about cool."
Jesse laughed and nodded. "She's pretty cool. So, why am I wrong about you being cool?" he asked. "You seem it to me." he said wondering. "And good; not letting you give genuine back." he smiled.
A short sigh slipped from Freddie’s lips and his feet shuffled lightly. “Well… it’s hard to get the mimicry working properly. I really can’t do more than my hands unless it’s an, uh, emergency.” He replied. The subject of other students was far preferable to him. “You should look out for Angelique. She’s really nice. And has an energy-type power.”
"You'll get the hang of it someday powers aren't easy to master or control. Take it from me. But once you find out how to master, and control your powers. It will feel like the easiest thing in the world." he smiled.
A sheepish smile crossed his lips at the brief compliment. “Thanks. They would be, if they worked properly.” Freddie admitted, then moved quickly on. “So… that, uh, seems kind of broad. Is it an energy thing? Because I know a couple of people here who can manipulate energy… not that I really understand that, either. Sorry.” The young man said, his voice dropping to a mutter.
"What do you mean, worked properly?" he asked intrigued. "And sort of like energy, its much more..chaotic though." he smiled. "It'd be cool to meet them." he nodded.
This workout is killing me.

Training for a big fight that I have coming up. I’ve gotta drop some fat and gain some more muscle.
"Sounds cool, who may I ask are you fighting?" he asked. "Street fight or rules and regulated fight is another question."
"Uh… metal mimicry. And a little bit of manipulation, too. A, uh, a fair mouthful, huh?" Freddie joked weakly, a light chuckle escaping his lips. His eyes flickered around quickly, not quite landing on Jesse for any considerable amount of time. "How about yours? Uh… explain it simply. I don’t get a lot of the powers in this place." He shrugged his shoulders sheepishly.
"Yeah, cool powers though." he nodded with a small smile. "Simply put, I can create and manipulate chaos...and its effects" he said, his best way to put his multi-colored red and green eyes and his ability of fire. He only wanted to use it when circumstances required.
"Really? But it’s nice to be nice…" Freddie murmured, before an abrupt blush came to his cheeks at the question posed. "Uh… well, I once knocked my brother out with a steel pipe. By accident. He suprised me and I was practicing powers…" The young man explained, somewhat hesitantly. "Tha’s pretty mean. Or maybe not, in your book?" He raised his eyebrows, his voice steadying.
"Nope, was by accident and that's not so much mean as abuse." said Jesse with a small smile and a teasing tone. "So, what is your power by the way I'mnot sure if you told me?" he asked curiously.
Ripley chuckled well-meaningly when she saw the blush run across his cheeks “I’ve met her, she seems really nice, and Sienna and Freddie, love Freddie, and I guess I’m not a total train wreck so you’ve done good so far” She smiled with a small shrug.
"Yeah she is." he smiled. "Freddie's really cool; super nice. Not sure he's ever done anything mean in his life." he chuckled. "Sienna is cool; I'm pretty sure she's a bit of a trickster." he smiled. "And you seem cool, genuine." he nodded.
Reassured, Freddie nodded and returned Jesse’s smile. “That’s alright then, so long as nobody got hurt. And, uh, I try not to have. That’s a nice way of putting it, anyway.” He chuckled lightly. “It’s not a bad thing, right?”
"Its not bad thing, I've just never really met someone like that before. Usually people aren't this nice...what's the meanest thing you've ever done...?" he wondered.
A pause followed, as Freddie atempted to determine whether or not it had been meant as a joke. “Uh… in what way? Nice pranks, I hope.” he asked, rather lamely, and he rubbed the back of his neck with a hand in his discomfort.
"Few scares, some tricks." he smirked. "You don't have a mean or angry bone in your whole body, do you?" wondered Jesse. It wasn't a bad thing. It was just that he'd never met someone so nice before.
"I guess we’ll see? You, uh, seem like a guy who’s experienced a lot, have you ever been to a fall festival before?"
Jesse shrugged, not quite sure how to take experienced a lot. Jesse wondered if he knew about his past. "No actually, my last school didn't have them. I just messed with people on Halloween."
Ripley chuckled well-meaningly when she saw the blush run across his cheeks “I’ve met her, she seems really nice, and Sienna and Freddie, love Freddie, and I guess I’m not a total train wreck so you’ve done good so far” She smiled with a small shrug.
"Yeah." he smiled. "I guess I have." he said, like he was realizing it for the first time. "What about you you? Who have you made friends with around here since your arrival" he asked.
Memories of Fire - Sienna and Jesse
She returned his laugh and grinned knowingly, her eyebrows pulled down over mischievous blue eyes. “Oh, I love you new kids. You don’t know the stories. I’m infamous for dressing up as a nun for Halloween and then behaving very badly. So it seems a shame to break the tradition.” she confessed, giggling loudly. “Now, what will you go as? Something fun, I hope.”
"Sounds like fun." he laughed listening to her description of the wayward nun. Jesse thought about what he could be, to be truthful he loved the holiday because it was one of the few times he could use his powers and no one would notice. "I'm not sure, normally I just head out on the town and use my powers a little." he smiled. "Its pretty funny honestly. As for what I should be, do you have any suggestions?"
"Um… I’m not sure. I just thought that would be what people do in fall? Tap trees and make syrup?"
"Sounds...reasonable, I'm just not sure how we'd incorporate it into a fall festival, could have like pancakes shaped like pumpkins or leaves."
