Ice Cream & Girl Talk \\ Sienna & Angelique
Angelique’s eyebrows were pulled together in confusion the sudden muffled scream from the blonde beside her. Her mouth hanging open before bursting out into laughter when their eyes made contact. What a way to let out your frustration. Her laughter slowly faded away as she shook her head at her with a more wide grin plastered on her face. Though she didn’t comment any further about the situation. Her eyes and attention now focusing on the other girl. All this time she had been feeling sorry for herself and concentrating on herself that she hadn’t noticed the worries of her best friend. All this made her feel awful for the slightest moment, but she pushed the feeling away and concentrated on putting Sienna’s worries at ease. It was the best she could do now that she knew.
The brunette straightened up while her mind was wandering away with what to exactly say. It was a rare moment that the blonde would show her worries, but she rather focused on always being bright and happy. ”Homesickness is okay, but don’t dwell too much on it. When I miss home, I try to focus on why I’m here and you’ll always get to visit back home during vacations or through Skype. But cheer up, like you said you’ll get to see adorable little Tommy pretty soon!” Her smile widened in reassurance, her voice as gentle as usual. ”And if you want, I could always try the whole matchmaker to find you love and if not that then there are other ways to get rid of that pent up energy.” Angelique kept the giggles at bay while impishly waggling her brows at Sienna. ”Also I heard you’re hanging around Jacob recently. What’s going on there?”
"That's the thing, though..." Sienna replied, her usual grin still stubbornly absent from her lips. "I don't have any money right now. I can't afford the plane ticket home. And I don't even know why I'm here - Mom just wanted me to be around other mutants so I could understand my power, but I'm past the stage of needing that now." The blonde sighed harshly, flopping backwards onto the bed once more. Her long hair spread out around her face, the gentle curls tousled with the movement. "I guess I'm just restless, you know? Weird, I know. From the girl whose power involves sleeping." she added, the wry joke still without the usual bright energy that would have infected her tone had she been as cheerful as was her habit. She stared at ceiling resolutely and blinked slowly as she thought hard.
Sienna did managed, however, to lift her head and raise an eyebrow in surprise at Angelique's lewd suggestion. It was quite unlike her, and did bring a smile back to the blonde's features. "Oh, that energy's been released plenty, lately. I had to buy a new vibrator, wore the old one out!" she exclaimed, a giggle slipping from her lips. Angelique had managed to draw out the vulgar side of her again, and this time her sigh was more relieved. She did, however, roll her eyes at the subject of Jacob. "Oh, I was just trying to get him to be able to stand me. Seemed to have worked. But don't go seeing cupid's arrow. We're not each other's types, and frankly I'm tired of boys." Sienna told her matter of factly. "Does that satisfy the gossip?" she then asked, raising an eyebrow in Angelique's direction pointedly.
Ice Cream & Girl Talk \\ Sienna & Angelique
The topic of Sienna’s little adorable brother was a much more appealing to talk about than the happenings between her and Leo’s complicated situation. It was easier to let herself get engrossed about it at the same time as it distracted her from the distressed thoughts in her head. Angelique smiled a bit more merrily at her friend’s words, focusing on trying to stay bright and happy instead of going into a melancholy state. On the other hand that didn’t last quite long with their current conversation. The quietness that settled between the two young females, made the brunette a little bit anxious for what Sienna might say about the situation. Angelique sighed deeply at Sienna’s words, knowing that she was only telling the truth although there were more to the issues than they knew about.
"Well, I can’t exactly force him into talking to me and I would rather have him open up at his own time. Of course it hurts me that he would break up than talk things out with me, but I think he’s afraid to rely on other people." At this point, the girl was at lost of better words. Her voice bearing a tiny part of defeat and exhaustion shown through her slumped shoulders. Her mind was once again on the process of thinking about the doe eyed male that had captured her heart. "Ugh, I don’t know! It’s just an odd and complex situation." She said with a shrug, but not sooner than later did the corners of her pink lips twitch into a livelier grin. "But cheer me up by telling me what’s going on in your life. I feel like I’ve been a bad best friend for always talking about myself."
"You mean it’s a completely pointless situation." Sienna pointed out, her dark eyebrows rising high up her forehead. "But, you wild kids will sort it out. There’s not much more that a fairy godmother like me can do!" It was a tiresome situation for Sienna, knowing the pair were so perfect for each other and yet neither of them willing to take the correct step: the blonde sighed heavily and pulled a pillow over her face, grunting into it fora short while. It was a sharp sound, and she emerged within a few seconds with a sheepish smile. At least some of the frustration had been worked off. Leaving the whole drama behind would certainly put her mind at ease. Shifting on the bed, Sienna moved so that she sat cross-legged before Angelique, her elbows on her knees and her eyes bright as she prepared to speak.
But her usual smile faded as she aired the thoughts that had been on her mind of late. “Nothing’s been going on in my life. So I’m bummed.” The blonde confessed, her expression immediately darkening. “I mean - I miss home. I’m missing so much of Tommy growing up, and just being with Mom. Then, there’s zilch going on sex or love-wise in my life, and I can’t even find a decent hobby to keep me going.” Her voice had become a babble: Sienna was not one to release her worries, even in small bursts, and her hands became frantic as they desribed shapes in the air. “I always say I don’t like schoolwork because there are so many other things that make me happy. But I can’t find any of them to do any more.” She finished, and looked deflated as her shoulders slumped. Sienna managed a grin, her eyes wide as she peered at Angelique. “Weren’t betting on that story, huh? Sorry, Angel. Now’s your turn to be completely bewildered. Go ahead. You have permission.” A small spark of her usual spirit: but Sienna was nervous about the brunette’s response.
Orange Is All Around Me // Open
The candied apple balanced its bulbous head carefully between Sienna's fingers as she strolled through the fair, sucking on the sweet surface every so often. She'd worn a swishy skirt in an attempt to get into the mood of the festival, and the material flapped lightly around her bare knees as an almost perfect autumnal breeze made its way through the fairground. The blonde ambled past the cider tent, behind which a group of students were clearly attempting to conjure up ways to sneak inside. Sienna rolled her eyes and giggled at the conspiratorial whispers. "Anyone around here would think the kids were starved of trouble." she commented dryly before walking on towards the rest of the fair.
Eventually, with all the caramel licked from the outside of her snack, Sienna collapsed down onto a bench and took her first actual bite of the fruit. "You know," she said loudly, to nobody in particular but clearly within earshot of those who wandered past. "I don't know why they don't just give out apples. These ones are delicious!" The blonde announced. She sat with her arms splayed out on the rear of the bench, a smile sitting prettily on her lips. She was clearly in the mood for company. "Now, what to do next..." Sienna mused, her gaze sweeping over the attractions before her.
"So, we doing this during the fall festival this weekend? I can scrounge up some orange body paint."
"Oh, orange body paint. Real subtle(!) But that's far too exciting to pass up. You sure know the way to a girl's heart. Deal!"
"Oh, spring exams on us, why don't you? We don't have lives. And we never get stressed out over school already." Sienna muttered bitterly at her textbook, slouched over a library table, wearing a frown that didn't fit her face in the slightest.
Dream Awake || Jacob
Jacob only rolled his eyes, pushing the door closed behind her once she was over the threshold. While she spun around and beamed at him Jacob wondered if there was anything that would be able to wipe that seemingly unmovable smile from her lips. As she moved to retrieve her notebook, Jacob slowly padded toward his bed and flopped onto the mattress and took out his phone, holding it up to his face and scrolling through the few messages he’d received that morning.
"Uh, why the hell would I do that?" Jacob asked, not looking up from the illuminated screen of his mobile phone. "I didn’t even look at the pages inside what on earth would make you think I left notes or doodles to entertain you while you don’t write notes in class."
"Oh, I don’t know…" Sienna begun, ambling lightly across the carpet towards the bed upon which Jacob reclined. She hopped up beside him, her long legs folded lithely beneath her, and made herself quite comfortable on the bedspread. "I guess it’s too much to hope for that you really want to be friends after all? Or want to give a girl some entertainment in her bio class." Sienna prattled on, raising her eyebrows and grimacing questioningly before the confident smile returned to her lips.
Her expression grew softer for a brief moment as she tilted her head down in an attempt to catch his eye. “Thanks for keeping the notebook, though. It was sweet of you.” she told him pleasantly, her blue eyes earnest and genuine as she looked at him.
"That would require me to actually care. All I wanted was for you to stop talking."
"But everyone has to talk now and again! Go on, you choose a topic, Storm Cloud. That way, maybe you'll be more comfortable."
"Because sunshine and rainbows is for freaks of nature."
"Sure, because the world is totally split into normal folks and freaks. I'll do you a deal - I'll be sunshine, you can be the awesome, dramatic storm clouds. Yes?"
"How about you just shut up altogether because no one cares"
"Someone might. And hey, I'm not really annoyed. It was entertaining. Maybe they woke you up too? You're not exactly sunshine and rainbows right now."
Memories of Fire - Sienna and Jesse
"Sounds fun, I’m game for any form of student organized festival, can even do one of those haunted houses." he smirked. "Why a Nun?" he asked with a confused, but small smile. "Or are you just messing with me?" he laughed.
She returned his laugh and grinned knowingly, her eyebrows pulled down over mischievous blue eyes. "Oh, I love you new kids. You don't know the stories. I'm infamous for dressing up as a nun for Halloween and then behaving very badly. So it seems a shame to break the tradition." she confessed, giggling loudly. "Now, what will you go as? Something fun, I hope."
"Oh, how peaceful to wake up to somebody having loud sex in the girl’s dorms. Come on - who wants to own up?"
Ice Cream & Girl Talk \\ Sienna & Angelique
Angelique listened attentively to the eager words of the blonde with a wide grin. The affection and love she had for her baby brother was evident in her voice and happy expression written all over her face. ”Three and a half? Wow.” She gasped at how big he had become over the little time. Time really did fly fast.”I’m happy that you get to see him soon. Remember to give him a big hug and a kiss from me!” She was happy that Sienna got to see her brother and mother even if it was for a short while. She knew how much she missed them though she didn’t show it often, but it was easy to see. Angelique hunched forward on the bed and grabbed two Oreo cookies for herself, starting to eat the delicious delight with big bites.
The brunette smiled warmly towards her friend as she rested her head on her shoulder. ”Well once he is set on something, is hard to convince him otherwise.” She commented with a slight shrug. ”But I’m fine, just not happy about how things are going right now. He needs more time to figure out couple of stuff. I’ve said all I could have said so now the ball is in his court.” Her voice was coated with the ever present optimism, having her hope up because she believed that they were meant to be. No matter how long, they’ll just end up coming back together later. ”Isn’t that what you say?”Angelique asked, scrunched up her face in question as she raised her head up from Sienna’s shoulder.
The blonde put on a bright grin for a brief moment, buoyed away from conversation over Leo by thinking of her little brother and the antics he would be soon getting up to. "Oh, I will. You know he loves his Aunt Angel on Skype, and hey - I'm hardly going to turn down an excuse to hug him more." she joked, raising her eyebrows cheekily and giggling girlishly. But the sound faded quickly at the mention of Leo's apparent motivations, and Sienna matched her best friend's expression with a scrunched scowl of derision and disgust. It was not an attractive expression, but was quickly becoming her default when thinking of the present situation between her two friends.
To hold her tongue and give her some consideration time, Sienna nibbled on another cookie before she spoke. "No, I say he's too stubborn for his own good and doesn't talk to you enough. And that you need to be more insistent about what makes you happy." she told her, rather harsher than she would normally have been. "And that's just the clean version!" But Sienna couldn't resist going back to a jest, and her grin returned, although it was rather muted and more sarcastic this time around. "But the real truth would be too mean to little Bambi, and I can't do that when either of you are around. So let's close the subject. We have better things to talk about!"
Memories of Fire - Sienna and Jesse
Jesse smiled and then laughed a little. “You’d make a great Wonder Woman, you can be her for Halloween.” he smiled. “I’m sure that’s coming up sometime soon. Is there going to be party for it?” he wondered, always having been big on Halloween, for the candy, costumes, and the respect for the dead.
"If there isn't, we can always organise one of our own!" Sienna replied, her expression brightening as the idea appealed to her. "But I can't go as Wonder Woman. Sorry. I always have a tradition of being a nun for Halloween!" she told him, flashing a cheeky, suggestive wink towards the young man.
Ice Cream & Girl Talk \\ Sienna & Angelique
"You always say that, Si. But I admit that’s partly my fault." Angelique said with a laugh. She moved towards the bed and propping back against the wall, her feet hanging off the bed. Their love for food was one of many reasons to why they were best friends, always having some kind of food to share with each other. And with how often the brunette looked up new recipes to learn, there was plenty of food tasting. She was on the way to slip off her slipper boots with top of her feet when she stopped at Sienna’s words. Having a prolonged silence to think over her question though she was delighted to hear about her little brother. "I wonder who he reminds me of." She giggled, thinking about the little guy. "It’s been a while since I’ve seen that cutie pie, how old has he become?"
Though the young female was momentarily distracted away from the blonde’s former question, she hadn’t forgotten all about it. “Yeah, we’ve talked as well and the only news is that we are now just friends.” She responded, recalling their latest conversation in the ice cream parlor. Angelique finally took of her slippers and took an unused blanket from the bed, placing it over her legs. Over the little time since then, she had somewhat come to the realization of how it was going to be with them being just friends. And maybe it was going to be a bit more harder than she had imagined.
The subject of her younger brother always brought out one of Sienna's brightest sides, at at Angelique's simple question she immediately launched into a rather long description of Tommy. "He's three and a half, now! Be starting school soon, and man, will everybody love him. Teachers, kids... he's just such a lovely, bright kid. I really want to be home to see him off on his first day, so maybe I'll disappear from here for a little vacation! Either way, he's as cute as ever." she finished, her smile never fading in the slightest as she spoke of the young boy. Sienna picked another cookie from the splayed out packet and bit down on the dark surface, eating it more delicately than the last one she had scoffed down.
But Angelique's update on her relationship with Leo made Sienna roll her eyes heavily and sigh, the cookie quickly set aside and forgotten. "You have got to be kidding me. I guess I didn't get through to him as much as I thought I did." She sighed again, this time the sound holding more frustration. "Relationships. Some people make them so complicated!" stated Sienna, dragging herself up from her position so that she might shuffle beside Angelique and place a hand on her best friend's arm. "Are you doing ok, though, with the whole thing? Anything I can do to help?" she asked tenderly.
Ice Cream & Girl Talk \\ Sienna & Angelique
Assuming that she didn’t have any more homework on her to-do list and no work, Angelique had no other plans than to stay locked inside of her room and watch movies on Netflix. She tangled herself free from the blanket she was wrapped up in, more than happy to get out of her room and instead spend some time with her blonde best friend. Once she got up, she stretched her arms behind her back. She didn’t bother changing the current look she was sporting, one of her comfy short onesies and threw on some boot slippers. Her dark brown tresses was pulled up in a messy ponytail as she walked towards the mini fridge and pulled out two mini tubes of chocolate fudge brownie and strawberry cheesecake.
By the time she headed out of her room, Angelique had grabbed a bag of Oreo cookies and slowly made her way towards Sienna’s room. Her face emitted out cheerfulness, having gotten rid of the gloomy cloud that had followed after for this long. Things were slowly getting better between her and Leo. She followed the corridor until her feet stopped at room 103. Taking a minute to rearrange the snacks in her arms, bending her knees to open the door with her elbow. “Salut ma chérie!”Angelique announced her presence with a bright grin and entered the room, placing the snacks on a empty spot on Sienna’s desk. ”As always, I brought unhealthy food.”
The bright greeting, said in the elegant and accented tones, told Sienna that there could only be one person behind the door, and she was proved correct when Angelique appeared and quickly deposited her offerings on Sienna's desk. The blonde had been lounging upon her bed, having never gathered the energy in order to rise from it, and only wore the oversized t-shirt and briefs that she usually donned for bed. As the door to her room clicked shut, however, she knew she didn't have to put on any further clothes. Angelique would be comfortable enough. "You know me too well, Angel. I'll have to start going to the gym if this becomes a regular date." she told the brunette, winking as she immediately opened the cookies and popped one into her mouth, moaning at the delicious taste on her tongue.
Sienna ambled lazily back over towards her bed and collapsed down onto the comfortable disarray of pillows and blankets as she munched. "So." she began, her voice somewhat muffled. "Any news? I talked to Leo, if you hadn't already heard that. Oh, and my Mom called me to say Tommy's learnt how to unlock doors. He's turning into a real little terror toddler." she giggled, her expression full of affection masking the more serious news she had bestowed initially.
"Next thing you know you’ll be protesting naked at the library for harming the rainforest by using too much printer paper. It’s a slippery slope" He joked
"I don't think being naked in that situation would add anything to my case, actually. Rainforests and nudity aren't very linked." She paused, and a smirked cheekily. "Unless you're imaginative!"
