Star Wars: Autonomous III

Almost five years have passed since Durmónia left Maul’s crime syndicate to travel the outskirts of the galaxy with nothing but Avin, who claimed her as part of his clan of two, and the Dark Side. Not only had she regressed to old habits, but she had also learned to accept the Dark Side of herself and let it fester until there was nothing true of herself to give. The Force was relentless, however, and would not let Móni stand on the sidelines for long. The time had come to finally bring the Whills to their knees and restore balance to the Force. Foes become allies, and the past, present, and future collide in this final saga of Star Wars: Autonomous.

Genre: Action/Romance/Sci-Fi – Canon Compliant AU where Maul still has the Shadow Collective with him after the events of Order 66, including Rook. Recreated Dryden Vos and Qi'ra’s story, and Crimson Dawn was referred to as Crimson Veil in previous parts.

Summary: When two stars collide, they can sometimes merge into a single, brighter star.

Chapter Excerpt

Maul held her wrist and splayed her fingers across his right cheek, where he nuzzled into her palm.

“I have dreamt of this moment for so long, a part of me still believes this to be a dream. Each day was a fog without you near. Without your warmth, laughter, and smiles, everything became almost meaningless.”

He drowned himself in the sunset that glistened like crystals and poured his soul into her.

“My fate. My destiny. My life. It is all yours. Whatever challenges lie ahead for us, I promise you, we will never face them alone again.”

The brilliance of her smile spread across her features, displaying all whites and that slight crookedness.

“You had my heart the moment you kept me from flying away into space. Don’t ever let me go, alright, handsome?”

Working on some Maul content again because I need to!

Here's a WIP for now <3 Also can Disney stop altering Maul's markings? I swear they always seem to change slightly depending on the series he's in. Was using his Clone Wars ref until I noticed his markings were different on the Hot Toys model which is based on his Shadow Lord look, guh!

Chapter Excerpt

Emerald flames illuminated one by one on torch stands surrounding a pool as still as transparisteel. Maul was engulfed by the staunch scent of magick and a thick atmosphere.

“What is this?” Maul crossed his forearm over his nose, blocking the sharp smell. “This place reeks of death.”

“You’re sensitive to this planet’s lifeforce. Good.” Mother Vexara stood at the pool’s edge, and though she could not meet Maul’s gaze, he could feel her power drawing him in. “You were the Sith Lord’s weapon, so you should know better than all of us… what was his greatest obsession?”

“Immortality.”

“There was a reason he sought Talzin out for her mentorship. He wanted our secrets to conquering death. Thankfully, she had half a brain left to not divulge such precious knowledge to him.”

“Do you mean…?” Maul stared at the waters, teeming with countless souls. “I can speak to them?”

“See for yourself.”

She stepped aside, allowing Maul access to the pool’s black depths.

“But be wary,” she warned, “this place is only meant for the dead. If you lose yourself to their calls, you will be lost forever, and I cannot help you. Is your spirit strong enough to withstand them, I wonder?”

Maul was already removing his top and setting his lightsaber down. “I’ve survived death once before. This time will be no different.”
