Dixie Furniture plant, Lexington North Carolina
Stop Thinking Just Do It
About a week ago, I had watched a vlog from one of my favorite photographers/cinematographer and in his vlog he said "you gotta stop thinking about it and just get up and do it" - Peter McKinnon. Well it inspired me to finally get up and just do instead of thinking about it. I am glad I did as I believe I have captured what might be the last photographs of a local icon, the Dixie furniture plant. I had plans to contact the current owner to try to get photographs of the inside, sadly that will never come to happen as on 12/19/2017 the plant burned to the ground. There is rumor that the iconic smoke stack survived but no confirmation. This just goes to show you that had I not been inspired enough to just get up and go do and start my photo project, I never would have ever gotten a chance to photograph this local landmark. Sonmy challenge to you is to stop thinking about doing something and just go do it. You may not get the chance to tomorrow.

New life forms from the abandoned & torn
Caught the first and only rays of sunshine this morning (12/18/17) on the old Dixie Furniture plant. Glorious morning light.
