How to stalk your local LP!

Call the store. Ask to speak to the loss prevention department.

Me: “Hi. I’m looking for a job in loss prevention and am wondering if you’re hiring now.”

Them: “Yes we are!” (Great time to lift. They’re hiring. Which means they need people and if they still have LP they are just putting in their 2 weeks so they can get the hell outta there.) If they aren’t hiring, ask if you can still submit an application.

Me: “Thanks! Who can I ask for when I come in and apply?”

Them: “Ask for Johnny B Good. He’s our LP manager.”

Me: “Thank You!” Hangs up phone. Goes on Facebook and looks up Johnny B Good. Finds him. Cute photo of him and his wife. Awe look. They have a new baby. Sweet. So he’s gained some weight since 2010. Wow. Oh look at his 200 friends. Let’s check them out. LP are close with not only their own LP but other stores as well.

So now I know that Johnny B Good is the LP manager at my favorite store. I also know what he looks like and can watch out for him when I’m in the store. Bonus. If he’s the Manager, he’ll usually be in plain clothes bossing the other LP around so you can find out who they are as well!

This saved me from getting caught one day. I was on the lookout for Johnny B Good and there was no sign of him anywhere. I continued gathering all the stuff I wanted to lift plus the stuff I didn’t. I was about to exit and I got this weird gut feeling. Not now. I strolled around the store some more. I noticed this guy in a green t-shirt who walked passed me twice and it looked like he knew the store employees. It freaked me out that I was being followed and I started dumping sh-t fast!!! I decided maybe I should buy a few things and take a few things. As I’m turning the corner, I look back at green t-shirt and he’s chatting with guess who!? Johnny B Good!!! There he is!! Omg!! So I lift nothing, buy a few items and leave!! I go home and look at his fb again. There’s green t shirt on his friends list!

They stalk you. Why not stalk them? Could save your life one day!!! Does Johnny B Good think I’m a lifter? Maybe. Or maybe just an airhead who couldn’t make up her mind. Who knows. I stayed clear of that place for 6 months!! When I went back I saw him again. He had no clue who I was. I knew who he was though. And that’s all that matters!

When calling another store they not only told me they were hiring but couldn’t connect me to the LP manager because they literally had NO LP at the time and were desperately searching! Yipppeeeeeeeee!!!! I went there 5 days in a row! Lol. Great Hauls.

Information is power. Acquire it, use it!

I didn't get caught, nobody even said anything to be. But I overheard two CS whispering to each other while I was in the dressing room and learned 2 valuable thingzz

1. I dropped my hook. I didn't drop it while tryna finaggle a tag, I dropped it because i had it sitting on a bench, and when i grabbed a pair of leggings it grazed the seat and knocked it to the ground. I would've bailed normally, but I had already cut the tag w a RFID so it would've looked even more sketch + I don't know if they actually saw anything.

Lesson learned: I need to keep my tools in a designated spot. If i'm not using any of my tools, I need to put it in my purse.

2. The door to the dressing room has a foot of space between the floor and the bottom of the door, so the SAs can see my little tootsies. I don't know if they were talking about me, but I heard a SA whisper "she's just standing there." I was indeed, just standing in 1 spot while tryna detag.

lesson learned: look like you're changing or busy! Just standing there is sketch, look like you're a normal customer actually changing. Try on one pair of pants, and while you're pretending to check your angles then detag while you're moving around

Cereal box tip

Hey guys! I love using the cereal box tip for shoplifting small items and would recommend trying it anyplace cereal is sold. I prefer Target!

Step 1: Obtain a basket. Step 2: go to the cereal isle, get yourself a big family sized box of anything. Step 3: open the cardboard just slightly on the cereal and check to “make sure everything looks good” and leave the flap open Step 4: continue shopping, and snag some lipsticks, mascaras, or jewelry Step 5: as the smaller makeup items are in your basket, slip them into the cereal box and make sure your arm creates the blind spot. If you do this quickly, it’s extremely hard to catch. The basket, your hand, and the large cereal box will hide your actions from view. Step 6: once you’re satisfied, go to self checkout and click “i do not want to bag this item” THAT WAY you can hold onto your cereal box filled with stolen goods and you don’t have to weigh it or have it be handled by an SA

so yesterday I went into the dressing room at a store, planning to lift a sweater. but when I took a closer look at it, I realized that it had a gator tag on it. so I remembered an old tumblr post I saw about how you could remove a gator tag with your shoelace and I tried it and it worked!!

for those of you who haven’t seen the original post, all you need to do is wrap your shoelace around the place in between the pin and the clothes, several times and pull it really tight. you should here a pop and that’s how you know that the tag is removable. this is how I got my $80 columbia sweater :)
