Charlie got her booster shots and had a no-good-very-bad day 😿 (PSA: If your kitty needs multiple vaccinations, try to space them all out at least 1-2 weeks apart. Vets may insist on doing multiple vaccines at once bc they just want to make sure kittens get everything they need, but an ethical vet will space them out to reduce the animal's distress. Too many vaccines at once can overwhelm your kitten's immune system and cause them intense pain and potentially dangerous side effects. We learned this the hard way: Charlie was administered FVCPR, Rabies, and FELV vaccines all in one morning. Over the course of the day she became increasingly lethargic, refused to eat or drink, and cried out if touched. By the evening she was trembling and apparently in serious pain, and had to be taken to an emergency vet for injections of fluids and painkillers. Thankfully everything worked out and she's back to being a hyperactive happy weird ocelot again :) --just thought this story would be a good piece of info to share with other kitty owners)
