//A bit of VA work for Charon! The pieces used were from the drabble/ Charon’s last chat with Hermes/ Charon beating Agent Oregon/ and the moment before the fight escalated in the booth! I did use a voice distortion and that’s why it’s kind of warbled at parts!! Hope you enjoy!//
“I want to hear you beg... Come on, Agent Maryland. Let’s try this again.” This time the trigger clicked and the gun did fire, sending it’s bullet through Foxtrot’s head.
Maryland gave a cry through his gag, devastated that he had lead the pilot to his death. In front of him was Charon- the Insurrectionist. The man who had almost taken everything.
He was still taking more. Maryland groaned as volts of electricity flooded his body once more due to his enemy’s electified-gauntlets. The only thing keeping Maryland from going completely catatonic from grief was rage. Hatred. With every fiber of his being he had resisted Charon’s torture. His physical wounds were nothing compared to the guilt that waged war inside Maryland.
Charon eventually came to that same conclusion. So then the torture escalated- to the emotional level. Charon- and even Momus from time to time- would tear his body apart, keep him weak. And that’s when Charon appeared- with a Freelancer.
Maryland couldn’t watch. They fell one by one, right in front of them. Some tried to soothe him- some cursed him. Some held to their dignity in silence and died as a warrior. It made Colton sick... And then- Francis...
After four more months, Agent Maryland struggled to breathe. He had broken. The last agent to come had died by his hands. Upon Charon’s orders.
“Beg me for death.”
Maryland never did.
“This is it, Colton.” In front of him was a Agent tied to a chair, a black bag over their head. “Kill him and you’re free.”
There was no hesitation. Maryland robotically grabbed the gun from the side table- the impulse to aim it on Charon buried under numerous ‘lessons’. His finger pulled the trigger- the instant the bagged head looked up.“..Colton?” The gunshot echoed throughout the small room and the head snapped back as blood bursted through the hood and the head fell limp...
Maryland fell to his knees shaking. Charon took off the hood- to reveal Oregon with a bullet hole through his forehead. Maryland vomited as Charon laughed cruelly. Maryland couldn’t get the sight of Oregon out of his head- and he screamed as the body was thrown on top of him, Oregon’s blood coating him. He tried to throw it off, but could only scream as Charon held it to him with his foot. Maryland literally felt Oregon’s warm body turn cold in death. Eventually his violent thrashings turned into weak trembles as he sobbed uncontrollably.“Beg. Me. Maryland.”
Maryland opened his eyes and stared into the dull, dead eyes of Oregon...He closed his eyes,”Please....just...end it...Please! Kill me...”
“Say it louder.”
“Kill me...” Maryland began to tremble uncontrollably and glared with all his hatred and grief right at Charon who was pointing a gun at him.“KILL ME! PLEASE KILL ME!”

“Thanks a head of time I think huh? I’ll let you know if anything changes. Lets hope not.” Hermes replied grinning back at the other “I have been pretty okay, despite us getting new grunts, hell on earth with them. The other day I had to take some to the shooting range, ya know to see if they aren’t bad shots or anything. One basically almost shot me when I told them to hopd their fire, just holy shit…enough about my shitty grunt problems that come with work. How about yourself? How are you and close calls? Well- Other than what happened.”
“Well, this close call took me the better part of...what three months to bring about? I guess one Freelancer is worth that- I just wish I could’ve gotten the both of them!” Charon chuckled a bit,”So- why’d you join the military Hermes? I don’t think we’ve ever traded war-stories before.”
I could tell you everything that happened if you really really want to know. And it’s too late for that- I already got my ‘pleasure’. In more ways than one.
You did more then that. Think of it as a lesson- you won’t be taken advantage of like that again, eh? Next time- don’t think someone could like you. That should work.
“I’m just extending a professional courtesy; Atropos told me of a certain Project-member she wanted me to avoid and I have. I got boundaries- and I can promise you that I can respect your ‘territory’ as it were- that being said, I’d get annoyed if you didn’t respect mine. Luckily...
Hermes only rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed he let his temper get the best of him. “Sorry there, guess Im a little aggressive about the whole thing. Well if he is my little ‘spy’ got to trust him to get me something right? Im sure he wouldn’t though. I hope not, that would make me pretty upset.” Hermes only felt a little uncomfortable, Charon would creep him out a bit at times. “Well, Im scared If I told you, you’d actually kill them. Im sure if you did I’d get pretty upset. Hopefully if something does happen he can help you know the connection. That would least make it easier on me not having to be tossed into the brig for trying to kill you. But I knew he is good at slipping out of situations pretty easily.” Hermes thought about it for a bit “Guess your right…some kills can be kinda personal, and satisfying when made.”

If you need something from me you let me know and I’ll try to get it done...And I promise that if some agent tells me the phrase, ‘I’m sent by Hermes’, they’ll miraculously find it much easier to evade me then it would’ve been.”
