Hello! My name is Charlotte and this is my art blog, Charred Stitchery. I started my love of sewing when I was in second grade and I haven’t stopped since. My passion for handsewing became a hobby business when I came to college. Today I have my bachelors and MBA thanks to sewing, which kept me from going insane and broke. I continue to do 99% of my work by hand and all the patterns are my unique designs as well. As a result each piece is one-of-a kind and made with a burning passion. Have you ever thought about selling the patterns you make or doing a tutorial on how you create patterns?

I’ve considered it for years, but the main problem is I don’t have time to digitize my patterns and make them up to like “sewing standards”. (I’m like super self taught so I do a lot of weird stuff) If I wasn’t working full-time + trying to pay off my debt in under 5 years. (38k more to go woooo) I would consider it more.
