To say you were nervous was the biggest understatement. you were full on panicking, although you knew marshall would always support you. it didn't make coming out any easier.
he took the day off today, it was rare but the perfect opportunity to tell him, no work meant no stress—for right now at least. he was lounging on the couch, watching a show he'll never finish, a notepad and pen on the coffee table in case he needed to write something down. you walk downstairs, fidgeting with the edge of your sleeve.
"hey, dad?"
"yeah? what's going on, sweetheart?" he doesn't turn to look at you, his voice was calm and relaxed
"i, uh, wanna tell you something, so can you?.." you gesture to the tv and he grabs the remote and pauses it, his expression is ever so slightly etched with concern—that dad type of concern.
you stand awkwardly then move to sit down next to him on the couch, he adjusts himself to be sitting as well now that he senses this might be a serious conversation.
"sumthin' wrong, sweetheart?" he takes in your puzzled expression, while you don't know if this was a good idea or not. but it's too late to turn back now...
"there's something i wanna tell you but can you promise to not say anything until I'm done talking, please?"
he nods, he might not show it but his mind is racing with millions of possibilities about what your next words might be. he rests his forearms on his knees, tilting his head to look at you, giving you a "whenever you're ready" look
you inhale sort of shakily—maybe the build up is making you both more nervous— still fidgeting with your sleeves and he notices, of course he notices
"dad, I'm bisexual.." you basically whisper, your voice was so quiet youd thought he missed it. but you could see the wave of relief that washes over him
"shit, I thought you was gonna say you're pregnant.." he mumbles under his breath.
"dad!" you squeal
"what?" he huffs out a laugh, trying to ease your nerves
"you're not funny..."
"a'ight, a'ight. is there a special someone I gotta meet?"
"well...yeah. i, uh, have a girlfriend..." you say with a sheepish smile. though the grin on his face is more proud than anything else.
"yeah?" he pauses, his expression growing a bit concerned "she know bout me?"
"what do you mean?"
"like, y'sure she's not just with ya 'cause of me?"
"no, she doesn't know" you assure him, he nods with a fond expression
"so," he smiles again "when do I get to meet this chick?"

about a week later of him keeping a careful eye on his so called girlfriend of yours, he trusts her enough for her to come to their house. you're impatient all day, standing by the door, peeking out the window, constantly checking your phone.
ding.
the gate chimes signaling she's outside, you run to marshall so he can open the gate. when he hears the door open and close he walks in on you two hugging. he smiles to himself, poking the inside of his cheek with his tongue in an attempt to hide his smile. you sense his presence behind you and pull away from her, very reluctantly. she introduces herself, marshall tries his best to mask his resting bitch face to not make her feel unwelcomed. he jokingly asks
"what are your intentions with my daughter?"
she laughs but you nudge him with your elbow with a pout, he smirks and adjusts his watch. she puts her hand on your shoulder and says how she doesn't mind that joke. though he can see you blush when she touches you. oh he's definitely pointing that out when she leaves.
For me, there are two versions of Slim. The 2009 one and the 2024 one. I like to think that Shady has a different personality in each, one that fits the vibe of the albums better :D

You wake up with your cheek presses up against his bare chest, his arm around you loosely as he sleeps peacefully
You reach your hand out to look for your phone in the messed up sheets to check the time. You find your phone and bring it up to your face, 8:02am, still early. you could sleep in or get up. your eyelids droop signaling that you're too tired to get up so you settle with the first option. but before that— of course you had to check your notifications. obviously.
You scroll through the notification that had appeared overnight, then see one with a camera logo,

You had forgotten you installed it the other night, it couldn't hurt to see what everyone was so hyped about. Your fingers tap on the icon and you scroll through. just news, pictures that his friends posted like 50, Royce, and Denaun.
Your finger slips and the camera turns on, you look at yourself, smooshed against marshall, him contently unaware as he was deep in slumber. you smirk as you get an idea.
You nuzzle your face in the crook of his neck, he stirs a bit but doesn't wake up, just tightens his arm around your waist.
You snap a pic, leaving his face out but his jaw line in clear display. your face out of view since it was against his neck. part of his unclothed chest visible in the picture. the soft glow of the rising sun making the photo look almost romantic. you don't think twice and post it. no hashtag, just a short caption that says
my love 🖤
you set your phone down and forget about it, falling back asleep, comfortable in his arms.

He wakes up at around 10, stirring with a quiet groan as the sun glows on his face, blinding him as he blinks his eyes open. glancing down at you sleeping on his chest, a smirk pulls at the corners of his lips. pressing a kiss to the top of your head then grabbing his phone and opening it. he had a some messages from Paul and Denaun. a couple notification from Instagram.
as he reads Denaun's messages his eyebrows furrow
"didnt know you were such a cuddler, loverboy"

he reads Paul's messages
"Have you been on Instagram today?"
he didn't give two shits about what was going on, on social media but he knew Paul wouldn't just say that for no reason. he opens the app and the first post he sees is the one you posted.
the two of you, in bed, cuddling. it was cute, he almost forgets why its wrong. but how could he be mad? you were adorable.
once you wake up, the first thing that you hear is
"so you posted us cuddlin' n shit, huh?" he doesn't sound mad, if anything he sounds...amused.
you tilt your head up "maybe..." your voice a little rough with sleep. "couldn't help it, we looked cute."
"you ain't wrong but Paul's on my ass now." he gruffs
"are you mad?"
"nah, I ain't mad baby."
he feels you nuzzle into his chest after he confirms that he's not mad, that earns a chuckle from him. the sound vibrating in his chest. you smile against his chest.
"you can at least ask me 'fore you post shit like that, yknow" he suggests with a smirk
"you were sleeping, didn't wanna wake you"
"right, and you couldn't wait till I woke up?"
"I didn't think bout that..." you murmur
he laughs softly
"youre adorable."
"I like to think so"
"confident, are we?"
"very." you tilt your head up again, he presses a sweet kiss to your lips. you could tell he wasn't mad, not at all.

Can someone write a one-shot about Marshall attending his daughter's high school or college game. Reader is one of the best players on the team, and may even want to play professionally after she graduates. At some point during the game, something goes wrong and she tears her ACL. (Very painful injury, btw. OUCH!)
Include reader's recovery(surgery and physical therapy), her struggles and depression with it. As well as Marshall being the supportive father he is. End it with reader excited to get back in the game after making a full recovery! :)
(She can play whatever sport you want. Flag Football, basketball, soccer, etc etc)
