First night on tour. And of course there's only one bed in the hotel room.
It was really no big deal. It wasn't like they hadn't shared a bed before. But it became a big deal when Bosco woke up shivering, turning over to find that Irene was perfectly warm and sleeping soundly under all the blankets she had covered herself with.
Bosco narrowed her eyes. She sat up and grabbed one end of the blanket, pulling hard and covering herself up. She laid back down, desperate to get warm and pulling more of the material over herself.
Everything was fine for a few minutes. Until Irene opened her eyes and realized she was cold. She didn't bother to turn around and look, just reached behind herself and grabbed onto the closest blanket.
Bosco squeaked when her whole body was pulled along with it, slipping out of the blankets as Irene curled back up in them. She smiled triumphantly as she curled back up.
"Irene-" Bosco grabbed the blanket and pulled it back. "You're taking all the blankets-"
Irene held on tightly, an evil and knowing smile on her face. She held the corners of the blanket in her hands, waiting for Bosco to tug again before she rolled over on top of her.
Bosco yelped, immediately struggling underneath her. "Irene if you don't get off of me right now-"
"What? I'm sharing the blankets with you." Irene teased with that smile still on her face. She laid down on top of her, wrapping her arms tightly around her torso to hold her under the blankets with her. "Aren't you warm?"
"You're embarrassing-" Bosco twisted and turned, trying to get free. "You're lucky I don't kick you out of this room."
"You're so cute when you're all angry." Irene giggled, laying her head on top of Bosco's. "You feisty little thing."
Bosco groaned, and was extremely thankful that the room was dark and Irene couldn't see her blushing face. She went limp beneath her, hoping the other queen would think she had accepted her fate.
She felt Irene's hold relax, and Bosco quickly shoved her off. Irene squeaked, falling back into her own spot on the bed with a huff. "Fine. You win. Lay down and get your sleep."
She grabbed the blanket and tucked it over Bosco, the sudden gentle movement taking her by surprise. She went stiff as Irene settled down beside her with her back to her.
After a few moments of silence, Bosco sat up and slowly crawled over Irene, dropping herself in front of her and under the blankets with her again. Irene almost laughed, swinging an arm over her waist.
"Don't say a word. I don't wanna hear it." Bosco shoved her head into the pillow.
"Yeah, sure." Irene rolled her eyes but smiled, ruffling her hair. "Goodnight, Bosco."
It took a while but here you go! I've missed them :)

Bosco sighs in relief when she finally turns her car into the parking garage of her building. Another night shift done. She used to not mind working night shifts so much, but ever since she got together with Daya she’d much rather spend the night in her girlfriend’s arms.
When she unlocks the door to their apartment, the smell of freshly brewed coffee fills her nose. Daya is nowhere to be seen, but the sound of the hairdryer from the bathroom tells Bosco she’s almost ready to leave.
In the five months they've lived together, they developed somewhat of a routine balancing Bosco’s work hours and Daya’s college schedule, even if they sometimes barely see each other for days.
Bosco kicks her boots off and throws her jacket over a hanger haphazardly before flopping face down onto the couch. She could fall asleep right then and there, but the bathroom door opens and there's footsteps coming closer.
“You're back!”
The genuine excitement in Daya’s voice is enough for Bosco to lift her heavy head again and sit up, her arms already outstretched to welcome her girlfriend’s embrace.
“Morning baby. Did you sleep okay?”
“No,” Daya pouts, “missed you too much. How was your shift?”
“Pretty quiet, actually. But I missed you too.”
Daya giggles when Bosco kisses the tip of her nose, then the corner of her mouth, before landing on her lips.
“I’m glad you're back. Even though I need to leave soon.” The pout is back on Daya’s face. “I could make you breakfast though? You should probably eat something.”
“It’s okay, I'm not hungry.”
Daya frowns, but steals another kiss before getting up to finish getting ready.
Bosco almost falls asleep on the couch, but a loud clinking sound jolts her back awake. She drags herself towards the kitchen, a big yawn making her pause momentarily on the way there. She can't wait to get into bed, but she needs to check up on Daya first.
“Everything okay in here?”
“Yeah, just knocked something over in the cupboard. Sorry for the noise.”
“Don't worry about it, baby. What's that?” Bosco asks when her eyes fall onto a bowl of steaming oatmeal on the small kitchen table.
Daya looks at her with pleading eyes. “I know you're tired, but I also know you haven't eaten all night.”
“I appreciate the gesture, but I just wanna sleep right now. I’ll eat when I wake up,” Bosco can't help the annoyance that slips into her voice–she can get really grumpy when she's tired.
“Come on, just a few spoons at least? I promise you'll feel better after you've eaten something–”
Bosco had sworn she would never raise her voice at Daya. Or do anything that might scare her. Except in this moment, she's overwhelmed with exhaustion and frustration, and she does. She raises her voice at her girlfriend.
“I said I'm not hungry, Daya, why can't you just accept that?”
Daya jumps, shrinking back against the counter and wringing her hands together. Guilt rushes through Bosco like poison through her veins, and she reaches a hand out to try and comfort her girlfriend, like she knows her touch usually does, but Daya’s eyes are full of fear.
“You yelled at me,” her voice is trembling. “Don’t- don't hurt me, please.”
Bosco’s heart breaks into a million pieces seeing the person she loves the most being so scared of her. She drops her still outstretched arm, letting it hang limply at her side.
“Oh my god, Daya, I'm so sorry for yelling. I- I won't hurt you, I promise.” She takes a tentative step forward. “Please, let me touch you?”
Daya shakes her head, her whole body still tense. Bosco doesn't know what else to do, so she just says I'm sorry over and over again. Daya glances at the clock on the wall before straightening up.
“I need to catch my bus,” she says as she pushes past Bosco into the hallway and puts on her boots.
Bosco follows her, not wanting to let her leave like that.
“Baby, wait, please, I'm sorry!”
Daya takes a deep breath before she opens the door and steps outside. “I know,” she says quietly, closing the door behind her.
Bosco stares at the door for what feels like hours until her stomach suddenly grumbles, and she doesn't know whether she should laugh or cry. Of course Daya knows her better than she knows herself.
She numbly makes her way back into the kitchen and pours herself a cup of coffee. The bowl of oatmeal is staring back at her, and she feels tears prick in the corner of her eyes. Daya did nothing but care for her, and all she did was upset and scare her.
All the love her girlfriend has put into making her breakfast, but it takes on a bitter taste as Bosco tries to eat a little bit. She drops her head into her arms. She’s still exhausted, but there's no way she’ll be able to sleep now. She needs to figure out how to make it up to Daya.
*
Bosco doesn’t hear from her girlfriend all day, and she hates it. Usually, Daya texts her throughout the day to tell her about her classes or complain about the gross cafeteria food, but today her phone stays silent. She sighs as she opens up her messages with Daya and lets her know that she'll be picking her up and she doesn't need to take the bus home. After taking the bouquet of flowers that she got earlier today out of the vase, she grabs her keys and heads out the door.
She reaches the campus parking lot and waits for Daya in front of her car, holding the flowers close to her chest. Nerves and excitement bubble up in her stomach when she finally spots her tall frame.
“Hey.” Bosco’s voice comes out shaky.
“Hey.”
She hands Daya the bouquet, who doesn't look up at her when she hesitantly takes the flowers.
“There's nothing that would justify the way I acted this morning, but I hope you can accept my apology, even if it takes a thousand more ‘I’m sorry’s.”
Daya bites her lip. “Can we… not talk about this here?”
“Of course.”
Bosco opens the passenger door for Daya, noticing a light blush dusting her cheeks. She gets behind the wheel and pulls out of the parking lot in silence, wanting to give Daya the space she needs.
“They're beautiful,” Daya whispers, her gaze on the flowers in her lap.
“Not as beautiful as you.”
The blush on Daya’s cheeks deepens, and Bosco smiles a little.
“Is it okay if I take you on a little date?”
Daya doesn't answer right away, instead leaning her head on Bosco’s shoulder shyly. “Yeah.”
Bosco parks the car near a park where they often go for walks together. She lifts the heavy backpack she brought out of the trunk, and Daya tilts her head in question. Smiling, Bosco just shrugs as she takes Daya’s hand and leads her through the familiar paths. She stops when they reach a secluded spot that's surrounded by a couple old oak trees.
“This is where we had our first date,” Daya smiles.
“Mhm,” Bosco squeezes her hand. “Where you surprised me with a cute picnic. So today, I thought I’ll surprise you with a picnic this time.”
She sets the backpack down under one of the trees and pulls out a picnic blanket that she lays out on the grass, before pulling out various containers of little sandwiches and all of Daya’s favorite fruits. When she’s happy with her set up, she looks back at Daya, who’s still standing in the same spot.
“Come on, let’s sit.”
But before Bosco can sit down, Daya suddenly throws herself at her, almost knocking them both over. Bosco catches her swiftly, hugging Daya as tight as possible and letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding.
“My baby,” she breathes into her hair. “I love you so much.”
Daya’s hold on her tightens even more. “I love you too.”
Neither of them really wants to let go, but they settle down eventually, Daya sitting as close to Bosco as possible without actually being in her lap.
“You didn't need to do all that,” she says quietly.
“I had to do something. You were so mad when you left this morning, and then you were silent all day. I know I fucked up majorly, and I was so scared you were gonna leave me.”
“I was moreso embarrassed about overreacting like that,” Daya admits. “I felt like I had pushed you away.”
“You didn't do anything wrong, you were just looking out for me. I was tired, but that's never an excuse to let it out on you.”
“So… we're good?”
“I’m good if you're good,” Bosco holds her hand out, and Daya gives it a squeeze.
When the empty food containers are placed to the side, they lay back on the blanket, watching the leaves above them dance in the wind.
“I guess my ex was right when they said I'm too pushy,” Daya says quietly.
Bosco frowns, propping herself up so she can look at Daya. “You are not too pushy. You care so fiercely, and it's one of the things I love most about you. I’m the luckiest girl in the world to be cared for by you.”
Daya finally meets her eyes, and the intensity of the trust and the love Bosco can see in them almost knocks the wind out of her.
“As long as I'm alive, you’ll always have me in your corner, if you let me.”
Daya smiles before she pulls Bosco down to kiss her softly.
Shoutout to @chasing-cloudzz for inspiring this idea <3

Bosco sinks into the soft bedsheets with a contended sigh. It's not quite home, but it's a day off on this long tour, she’s had a self care evening all to herself and she can go to bed early for once, so it's the next best thing.
She's awoken a few hours later by soft knocks at her door. Thinking that someone probably just got the wrong door, she ignores it at first, but then there’s another round of knocking and someone whisper-shouting her name. She knows that voice.
She taps her phone to look at the time, squinting her eyes against the bright screen, before she rolls out of bed with a groan.
“Daya, it's 3AM, what the fuck?”
Daya stands in the hallway with his hands shoved into the pockets of his hoodie, flinching slightly at Bosco’s words.
“Sorry for waking you up, I just…”
Bosco’s gaze softens. “Everything alright?”
“Yeah. I just have too much energy left and my brain won't shut the fuck up and I can't sleep so I wanted to ask you if you’d like to go on a walk with me?”
“... right now?”
Daya nods, then tilts his head with a grin. “You look dishevelled.”
“Gee, I wonder why,” Bosco says, followed by a yawn.
Daya shifts on his feet a little awkwardly. “I’m sorry, I shouldn't have woken you up. Go back to sleep, ‘Sco.”
Bosco feels a tug at her heartstrings seeing Daya looking kind of lost and sounding uncharacteristically small. She curses herself for having such a soft spot for her best friend.
“Okay, just let me put on some real clothes.”
She quickly pulls on some sweatpants, a hoodie and her sneakers before redoing the bun on her head and meeting Daya back outside in the hallway.
“Where are we even going?” She asks when they step out onto the sidewalk.
Daya shrugs. “Exploring.”
They start walking in one direction, and Bosco’s hand is quickly entwined with Daya’s. They talk about the tour, about shared memories and plans for the next year, and it's all soft voices and smiles.
Walking around an unfamiliar city in the middle of the night is not something Bosco ever saw herself doing, but with Daya it feels safe. Comfortable.
They find a small bridge over the river close to the hotel, and Bosco gasps when they reach the other side and she looks back at the skyline. “Whoa.” She leans against the railing, breathing in the fresh night air and admiring the historical buildings until she feels eyes on her. “What?” She asks, turning to face her friend.
Daya smiles, wrapping his arms around her waist. “Nothing, just enjoying the view. You look beautiful in this light.”
“Daya-” Bosco squeaks, hiding her blushing cheeks with her sweater paws, but Daya peels them away from her face gently.
His arms settle back around her waist, pulling her closer until their breath mingles in the small space between them. He leans in and kisses her softly but deeply, and Bosco feels like she's melting. When they part to catch some air, Daya leans his forehead against hers, one of his hands coming up to cup her cheek.
“My pretty girl,” he murmurs, tucking a strand of hair that fell out from the bun behind her ear.
Bosco hides her blushing face in his neck. “You need to stop being so stupidly cute.”
Daya chuckles, but is interrupted by a yawn.
“Ready to head back?” Bosco giggles, kissing his cheek before taking his hand and starting the walk back to the hotel.
“Thank you for coming with me,” Daya says when they reach the door to Bosco’s room.
“I still think you're insane. But it was nice.”
“So, uh, I'll see you in the morning, I guess?”
Bosco opens her door, but doesn't step inside. “Do you think you might sleep better in my bed?”
Daya’s eyes light up, and before Bosco knows it he’s rushing past her, taking off his hoodie and his baseball cap before flopping down face first onto her bed.
“You big baby,” Bosco giggles, closing the door behind her and pulling her own hoodie over her head. “But no inappropriate touching… for now.”
“Yeah, yeah, now come cuddle,” Daya pouts, pulling her down and right into his arms.
Bosco gets settled with her back against his chest, soaking in the warmth coming from him.
“Love you, ‘Sco.”
“Love you too, baby. Now get some sleep.”
Bosco feels a kiss being placed in her hair before Daya’s breath evens out.
Bless Irene for the info about the trailers instead of hotel rooms from that video with Bob because that made this a bit more fun. It just doesn't feel ao3 worthy so enjoy it here <3
One challenge down, and Bosco was already exhausted. But she wouldn't dare let that show. Not when she was determined to get her hands on a win. She wouldn't let anyone even think they had some sort of advantage over her.
She was relieved to be back in the privacy of her trailer. Privacy that didn't last very long.
She had just changed and was brushing through her damp hair when there was quick knocking at her trailer door. She didn't have to guess. She knew exactly who had shown up.
She opened the door, finding Irene standing there with a sly smile. "You look lonely. I could fix that."
Bosco rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Did you come to boast about your win?"
"No, I just wanted to bother you." Irene invited herself in, immediately heading towards the trailer's cupboards. "You didn't bring any good snacks with you?"
"Not any you'd want to steal from me." Bosco closed the door and continued to run a towel through her drying hair.
Irene turned to her, that smirk still on her face. "That's fine. You're the only snack I really need anyways."
Bosco cringed this time, shaking her head. "That was bad. I hope you get sent home for that."
"Oh no you don't." Irene giggled as she walked over, placing a hand on the counter top behind Bosco and leaning closer to her. "What would you do without me here?"
"Win." Bosco answered with a shrug, but she did smile as she playfully bumped her hip against Irene's as she walked away. "But I am glad you're here. There's no one else I'd rather do this with."
"Besides Daya." Irene said as she followed her. "But you can't have that for a bit."
"If I'm lucky, I'll get to do it with both of you." Bosco collapsed onto the bed she had tried to make as comfortable as possible. The trailers were definitely a step up from the hotel rooms they were once forced into for hours on end. "You staying here?"
"As long as you'll have me." Irene said as she sat on the end of Bosco's bed. Bosco hummed in response. She didn't mind having her there at all if she was being honest.
It was quiet between them, both thinking about the past few days and the ones to come. Irene stretched her arms before she laid beside the other queen, one arm snaking around her. "I don't think I could go through this again without you." She admitted. "You help keep me grounded. And you're my person to lean on. I'm so happy you're here with me."
Bosco smiled, looking up at her. "Cheesy." She teased, making Irene groan before she could continue. "But I agree. You have no idea how relieved I am that you're here with me."
Irene smiled, letting Bosco adjust herself so her back was pressed against her chest. She wrapped both arms around her waist. "You should've given me your point then."
"Now don't be greedy." Bosco nudged her with her elbow, but snuggled closer. "You're lucky you're getting this."
"Trust me, I know. Small spoon sco is a favorite of mine." Irene tightened her hold, pressing a small kiss to the top of Bosco's head before laying her head on top of it. "Let's just not tell Aja about this."
"Of course not. She'd never let us live it down." Bosco yawned, forcing herself closer and letting Irene pull the blankets over the both of them. The other queen meant everything and more to her. Having her there was the biggest comfort she could ask for.
