FIA agreed Mid-Season Changes
The recharge limit in qualifying will be reduced from 8MJ to 7MJ
This reduction will ensure that more of the lap is run flat out with less need for energy recovery tactics
The super clipping recharge allowance will be increased from 250MW to 350MW
This will occur in both qualifying and the race and will reduce the amount of time that a car spends recharging
A new low power detection system has been developed
This will trigger automatic MGU-K deployment to ensure a minimum level of acceleration at starts
Wet Weather Changes
Increased tyre blanket temperatures, reduced maximum ERS deployment and simplified rear light systems
Boost mode changes
Boost mode will be limited to 250KW in non straight mode areas, whilst on straights drivers will be allowed to use the full 350KW
The majority of these changes are addressing the safety concerns around the new regulations
The low power detection system should avoid situations like the Lawson - Colapinto near miss, when Lawson was slow off the grid.
The recharge allowance being increased along with the boost restrictions should decrease the likelihood of situations like Colapinto and Bearman where you have these insane closing speeds, between a slower car and a faster one.
The qualifying change should allow cars to push to the limits more in qualifying

i must not care about sport. caring about sport is the mind-killer. caring about sport is the little-death that brings total obliteration. i will face the sport. i will permit it to pass over me and through me. and when the sport is gone i will turn and face the sport’s path, and only i will remain.
started reading OP as Oscar Piastri instead of original post(er)
