very humbling when you start to realize one of your ocs has inadvertently become a self insert for all your insecurities

*realizes my plot has become so convoluted but idk how to clean it up without restarting for the 6th time*

*eyes the au i created for fun but with a much tighter plot that is technically fully mapped out AND while it wouldn't REQUIRE commitment a sequel like the main au would still be open to one if ever i decide to do that*

“I am going to cry if you talk about what we cannot have,” Quintus grumbles. “Do you want me to cry, Nikolaos?” Nikolaos replies by putting his arm out so fast that it catches Quintus in the gut and nearly topples him. “I suppose that’s a yes,” Quintus says, miffed. Nikolaos points. “Quintus,” he says, his voice round with a new emotion. “Look.” Quintus follows his finger as best he’s able. Down through the forest, barely visible through the leaves, is a sparkle of light on water. It might be a river, or a pond, or a small stream cutting across rocks. Quintus doesn’t care. He turns to look at Nikolaos, who, though his face has been mostly scrubbed clean, is still filthy and disgusting, his hair matted, and his hands stained. Quintus cannot look any better; he likely looks worse.

do you need something proofread? your work of fiction, no matter its length, genre, or state of completion? is it full of spelling errors, commas in too many places, and a readability that you know could be better but the work to accomplish it feels so overwhelming?

proofreading is tedious. i'm an author, i know!! it's so necessary especially if you want to publish or share with betas without them running for the hills, but it can be hard to pick up on errors since you've read the manuscript so many times. it all just feels like a blur.

that's where i come in!

in addition to my beta reading services, i am now offering proofreading services on fiverr!! no matter the length or genre, as long as it's fiction, I will happily proofread it!! for things like:

okay i've decided to make a progress tracking doc for my wip. and by that i do NOT mean a word count tracker. i really just write the date and then list out every single thing i did that day to advance my wip, no matter how small. even if it's just "brainstormed a scene" or "watched/read something for inspiration" or "organized my wip folder" it's all going in there. that way when i'm feeling discouraged i can look at this document and be like no i'm not stagnating i actually AM making progress
