My attempt to achieve The Good Life with travel, time well spent with family, and great longstanding connections with business friends. It all begins with our first vacation in 3.5 years after opening Chazzano Coffee Roasters.

We will be closed on Friday, May 7 and reopen on Monday, May 10. No, it's not another Jewish holiday. There's a very good reason. From the beginning of the pandemic and until now, we have had one awesome employee, Felisha, and me! Joe Bradley has been delivering for us for over 6 years and Lisa is the residential delivery driver on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We've kept our staff small to maintain safety and good contact tracing. Although we're looking to hire a part-time person to help us with the new walkup window, affogato making, and the outdoor seating (coming soon in a few weeks), we haven't found the right person, yet. We're loving our walkup window at @chazzanocoffee. It's been awesome talking to you face-to-face (at a distance and with our masks on). We did an impromptu tasting today of the 3 Decaf @swisswater coffees we're roasting: Decaf Peru, Decaf Mexico, and Decaf Sumatra. My tasting notes: Decaf Sumatra- very fruity and sweet- tastes similar to our Yirgacheffe with lemony, cistrusy notes. Decaf Mexico- richest of the three with a rich mouthfeel. Chocolate brownies throughout. Affogato al Matcha (tea) with non-dairy coconut ice cream. This was a winner! The matcha and coconut is an awesome pairing. This particular coconut ice cream doesn't pair well with the espresso, though. I'm researching my way through different brands of Kosher non-dairy ice cream! We're checking out the feasibility of using Kosher locally made ice cream soon. I just "accidentally" stole Felisha's Affogato al Matcha.. It was delicious and refreshing. My son is 21 years old tomorrow! In what was probably a dare, he asked if I'd bake a cake for him. I've made cheesecake numerous times, cherry sorbet, and homemade ice cream.
