Fujiya Milky Chocolate

So, yeah, here is some good ass Asian chocolate. No lie, Japanese milk choco never fails. This choco is true to its name: milky. It is smooth and silky!! Ugh, I love it. It isn't overly sweet (unlike Cote d'Or or Hershey) or thick. This choco is a casual choco: could eat it anytime and anywhere and be happy afterwards. It doesn't require a moment like Lindt or other gotta-savour-it chocolates. This is good cheap chocolate.

I was initially confused bout that white part in the middle of the choco pieces. It isn't coconut or a mint pattie; I believe it is quite literally milk chocolate. Tastes great tho, probably makes it milky. There are 12 pieces of chocolate per bar/package.

The packaging is perfecto!!! I opened it wrong (like the dumbass I am), but the last photo is how to open it correctly. It is very cute and nostalgic and AESTHETIC. 10/10. 11/10 considering if you opened it correctly, you can close it securely too.

I got mine on a special deal of 2 for $5 at World Market. Prices may differ and I totally know I'm not sure if it was 2 for $5 or 2 for $3 or 2 for $4.

Conclusion: FUCK YEAH, BUY IT AND TRY IT.

Côte d'Or

I read it as “Côle Sor.”

First Impression: Unwrapped, this was a THICC chocolate. Turns out, there were two silver-wrapped bars of goodness stacked on top of each other. I got my Côte d’Or for $4.99* at World Market.

This choco is rich in cocoa! It isn’t dark chocolate rich, but it is goooood hot cocoa rich. If I compared this good hot cocoa to the Starbucks hot cocoa, it is less thick and more sweet. If I compared this to (the best) Tim Horton’s hot cocoa, it is around the same sweetness, but it’s been a while since I’ve had some so I may be incorrect. In conclusion, it is rich.

It is very smooth chocolate! I like how it melts in the mouth and you can taste the smell if that makes sense. It breaks/snaps pretty cleanly. I think the shape is very good since unlike a 6x3 piece bar, it didn’t break into the adjacent piece/next row (ruining evenness) when trying to get one piece. 

It is sweeeeeet! I have a sweet tooth, so while I enjoyed it, I definitely won’t recommend this choco as a new favorite to someone who isn’t a sweet chocolate fanatic/loves dark chocolate. Something makes it reminiscent of Hershey; I don’t know if it is the sweetness or texture. It may have to do with how the sugar was incorporated. I would like to call it the “high-end Hershey” as in this is what I would expect in a cheap bar of chocolate that I could grab off the counter in line at the grocery store in Europe. This is due to the fact that Hershey is infamous for being overly sweet and low quality according to everyone who is not an AMURACAN.

I genuinely liked this chocolate. Would I buy it again? Maybe, but given the opportunity to buy other chocolate or Côte d’Or, I would probably buy other chocolate.

El Fín: This is some damn good chocolate for $5, it is sweet and smooth! However, I think there is a lot of other good chocolate for $5.

I decided to start this blog in honor of my love for chocolate. 

What’s my favorite chocolate? Lindt. No explanation needed, but I will definitely love to explain. It melts in your mouth and it isn’t overly sweet, but it is so fucking good. It is well worth the price and a million times more. 

What do I think of Hershey chocolate? It’s a classic so I have love for it. It ranks above the dollar store Valentine’s Day chocolate, but below Lindt. It is definitely sickeningly sweet and leaves an aftertaste that I will share in a later post. I will never give up my 99¢ M&M’s. 

Do I really love chocolate? Yes, yes I do. I love it almost as much as I love cake, but cake is less accessible in terms of making, obtaining, or blogging about it. Chocolate is one of the gifts we gave ourselves.

How many times will I post?/What will I post? No promises, but I will try to post whenever I eat chocolate. That is often, at least I’d like to think. I will post reviews on chocolate or cakes or any thing I think needs a review or attention. I will try not to be annoying with other life posts, but it might happen.
