Miss Detective. Lucy momentarily wants to laugh when he addresses her in such a manner. It wasn’t often she was actually referred to by her title, and a times it was meant to even be rather demeaning. So that miss was enough to cause a small smirk to crack across her features.

“Yes, it was very far but it certainly weren’t to come here an’ bother you. So I do apologize for that. I’m sure you have much more important things t'do.”

But, anyway.

The chill that pumps through her blood is undescribable. She isn’t sure why she is unnerved but there’s simply something that’s off. When she had been warned of a vampire she’d expected some skulking figure with long nails and an ugly mug. Not an, admittedly, attractive young man with a somewhat creepy air about him.

“There were some talk of a mystery man who came up here and disappeared without a trace. I didn’t think much of it without a name or face, but I told ‘em I’d check it out nevertheless. It’d at least put some ease knowin’ I checked it out.”

It was a pleasing sight for the Duke to have caused a smirk on the detective, proudness relatively making him smile a little more. And her politeness also it’s charming indeed!

‘‘ Ah. Not really. For Today my schedule is totally free from my duties around the village economically. Keeping a watch like always would be the usual but that’s why my butler is there for. So again, no worries! ‘‘

A pause. His smile fading to replace a now more serious face, a hand resting on his chin as he now thoughtfully looks away searching for memories. ‘’ I’ve heard as well from these gossips about them man that disappeared… Some says it was a drunk man that got lost in the forest… ‘’ Starting, but then he makes a halt to look at the detective. ‘’Ah– Why wont we discuss in the main room and have a seat? It’s more comfortable rather than standing near the main door, isn’t it? ‘’ A light chuckle.

"I still don't want to take up too much of your time," Lucy began, but realized it was most likely a fruitless effort. The Duke struck her at the type of person who preferred to have things his way. He wasn't at all impolite, but it seemed best to simply follow along behind him further into the magnificent home.

"I imagined that much and, really, wonder if he just ended up going home in the end. I know tourists aren't all that common but I'd figure there would have been more commotion had anyone actually gone missing!"

Lucy was a talker; she often times found herself spouting off. Conversations were often and very rarely did she allow for silences. With that in mind she Continued her speaking as they walked.

"Anyway, on a lighter note, I want to thank you for your time. It's a lovely place here, I don't often get out of London."
