…one never forgets the taste of certain tears…
Fyodor Dostoevsky, tr. by S. Koteliansky, from a diary entry featured in Pages from the Journal of an Author (via violentwavesofemotion)
Before I can live with other folks I’ve got to live with myself. The one thing that doesn’t abide by majority rule is a person’s conscience.
Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird (via automatissun)
Inside her pulses something huge, something full of longing, something unafraid.
Anthony Doerr, All The Light We Cannot See (via henrydear)
Nothing was done to us - we were simply placed in a complete void, and everyone knows that nothing on earth exerts such pressure on the human soul as a void.
Stefan Zweig, Chess (via larmoyante)
God never created you to be ordinary. He created you to leave your mark on this generation. God wants you to do something big. He wants you to go further than anyone in your family. You have seeds of greatness on the inside. That yoke of average that’s been around your neck is coming off. God is about to thrust you to a new level of destiny. It’s going to be exceedingly, abundantly above and beyond what you could ever imagine! This is a new day, and you’re going to see the yoke-destroying, burden-removing power of our God like never before!
Every time I remember you I only think the word “BEAUTIFUL”
Inside Out you’re filled with love that shines through your life. I never saw you frown at me. Your smile is so captivating and lovely. Thank you tita Paulette for being part of my life. I’m gonna miss those days we’re texting each other. I will miss everything in you, you’re love and care... ALL. I love You with all my heart. <3 You’re such an inspiring and faithful servant of the Lord and a loving mom not only to your kids but also to everybody. I love You so much tita. I will never forget you. I know that in the presence of our Heavenly Father, your Joy is COMPLETE now.
You had fought a good fight here on earth, Now the crown of glory is already yours. Though my heart still mourns, I know you are perfectly well and at peace.
“ He who pursues righteousness and loyalty finds life…” (Proverbs 21:21, NASB).
Have you ever noticed that righteousness and loyalty go together? In other words, if we’re not being loyal—to our family, friends, country, job—then we aren’t going to experience God’s best. Loyal people are honorable people. When you’re loyal, you stick with someone through thick and thin. When you’re loyal, you keep your word—even if you get a “better” offer. Loyal people are respectful of their leaders. They honor their parents and defend their family. When you’re loyal, you are a person of integrity. You build trust and security in others.
Is this an area where you can rise higher? Can you be more loyal? Are you faithful in the things you’re committed to? Don’t let the distractions of everyday life keep you from pursuing loyalty. Look for ways to be faithful to those around you. Is there something you need to set aside for the sake of a loved one? Show your love by staying loyal. As you pursue loyalty and righteousness, good things will come back to you. Just as this verse promises—you will find that abundant life the Lord has planned for you!
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
There are times in life that we all get tired: tired of trying to make a business grow, tired of dealing with a sickness, tired of raising a difficult child, tired of living lonely, waiting to meet the right person. We can even be doing what we love, living in the house of our dreams, raising great children, or working at a good job, but if we’re not careful, we can lose our passion and allow weariness to set in. The problem is if you allow yourself to become weary, you’ll be tempted to quit: to quit growing, quit standing for that wayward child, quit believing to get healthy and whole, or quit pursuing your goals and dreams. That’s why you have to wait upon the Lord and hope in Him. Don’t give up when victory is right around the corner. God promises He will renew your strength. As you thank God for fighting your battles, you will be able to run and not get weary, you’ll walk and not faint. You’re not going to drag through life defeated, depressed, and under the circumstances. You’re going to soar through life on wings like eagles, overcoming every obstacle, defeating every enemy and accomplishing every God-given dream.
Maybe you’ve had a lot come against you lately. It seems like the more you pray, the worse things get. Maybe you are doing the right thing, but the wrong thing keeps happening. Instead of getting discouraged, begin to declare, “I’ve come too far to stop now! I’ve been through too much to back down. I realize the reason the intensity has been turned up is because I’m about to give birth to my dreams.”
Don’t allow the enemy to steal from you any longer! Instead, press on toward the goal because you’ve come too far to give up now. Remember, God Almighty is with you, and He is leading and guiding you down the path of victory in every area of your life!
