I just LOVE the beginning of spring!!! Everyone comes out to enjoy the beautiful weather, love is in the air, exercise is happening everywhereee, and the city is coming back to life. Trekked over to the East River Park, one of my favorite running spots to make some new friends.

Took a stroll around my neighborhood to see what spring was bringing in! Took a second to appreciate the beauty of changing seasons, and this historic city :)

I’m always so excited to capture the love of those who I hold dearly to my heart…
While studying abroad in Northern Ireland Evan met Kyle on St. Patrick’s day, and as he says “their love bloomed like a shamrock.”
Evan (my most excellent roommate and best friend) lives here in NYC, while Kyle originally from Northern England, is still in Belfast at Queens University Medical School. I just couldn’t let Kyle leave from winter holiday without capturing their cuteness. So sad to see you go Kyle, but at least we have these fantastic “at home” photos to enjoy until you visit again!
More to come!

Had the most exciting Christmas Eve this year! My stunning best friend (beautiful both inside and out) Victoria, and her ever joyful boyfriend Jason came to visit from Colorado. These two are the sweetest, but also so playful and fun to be around! It’s was so wonderful to spend my Christmas Eve day with two people who love each other like they do :) Thank you Jason and Victoria for an excellent outing <3
There are few things I love more in the winter than first snow falls, and the holiday village! I pulled on my Keens and headed over to Union Square to fill myself with holiday cheer!
Stopped at Breezy Hill Orchard’s stand to get some delicious doughnuts and cider! YUM! (get some if you can)
Also found this last friend from Australia who collected a GIANT snowball - enjoying his time here on holiday (not my best photo but he was SO HAPPY!!
Man replaces lawn with vegetable garden, holds no regrets
During the summer, nothing is better than the smell of freshly cut grass. That is, unless, you have a giant vegetable garden growing in the place of your lawn. Instead of turf, this awesome homeowner, user locolukas on Reddit, opted for tomatoes. The results are absolutely epic.
Instead of mowing grass, one man decided to say “screw the lawn” and plant vegetables. He filled his yard’s grid with compost that the city gave away. Seeds began growing quickly and he had to keep up by planting support systems around them. He even developed an irrigation system, which is much more difficult than it looks. He lined his garden with cinder blocks, covered the ground with wood chips and filled the cinder blocks with compost as well. The man even began giving out the veggies he couldn’t possibly eat, helping to spread the wealth.
Amazing.
